Qualification

2 Corinthians 3:5
It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God. (NLT)

Many today finish twelve years of grade school and four or more years of college. Some go right out of college and land that high paying job they were aiming for. We hear the stories of their successes. We leave school qualified by the educational elite to do the work they trained us to be able to do. We have all seen it and it may even be us.

What we hear less about are the many that graduate with the great qualifications and never find work in their field of study. We justify it by saying things like "It is the piece of paper that counts", "All you need is the degree" and so on. We never talk about the years wasted learning what we learned.

We can perform miracles with a computer, but are working selling shoes in the Mall. Sure we are the manager now, but what did that degree get us? We had the qualifications, but all we do in our field of study is help all our friends keep their computers running.

When our Father God places His hand on our life things begin to change. His favor is upon us and we cannot fail when we follow the lead of the Holy Spirit. He is the one who truly qualifies us and He is right there with us during the interview, the training, and the work. He qualifies us, trains us, and encourages us all along the way.
