Stay Focused

Satan wants us to be diverted from the path God has us on. If he can succeed in luring us into his web, our character will be in question. Others will not listen to the message of the good news we have to tell. We need to resist temptation, stay pure, and stay focused on Him and the task He has for each and every one of us ~ DickEvans.org

Grow

It is in our daily communications with God that our relationship grows. It is in our daily reading of His Word that our knowledge of Him builds. And it is in our stepping out each day to testify to what He has done in our lives that we grow in faith. ~ DickEvans.org

Jesus Is Alive

Jesus is alive today in us. We must allow the fullness of Holy Spirit to live in us and discover who we are in Him and who He is in us. We are only complete through our union with Christ. Then as we listen to the Father's voice and obey, Christ in His fullness can reach those in this lost world and deliver them, heal them, and save them. ~ DickEvans.org

God's Promises

Take hold of the promises of God. You are entitled to them. Listen for His voice and do as He leads. Your life and the lives of others will be changed forever. ~ DickEvans.org

Forgive Others

Unforgiveness does not keep us from all the blessings God has for us, but it could open up large avenues for satan to step all over us in our attempt to walk forward on the path God has for us. Remember, the Lord forgave us, so we are to forgive others ~ DickEvans.org

No Leftovers

God doesn't give us leftovers. And we don't have to split up our inheritance with anyone. We each get it all. He is the light and as believers, we are in Him and He is in us. The inheritance is waiting for each of us to partake of. All we need is to believe it and receive it. ~ DickEvans.org

Reaching Out

When we are in conversation with someone, we need to listen for doors that open for us to testify to what the Lord Jesus Christ has done in our lives. There is always an opening; we just have to listen for it. Then we will be pressing on and doing what He called us all to do by reaching out with the Good News. ~ DickEvans.org

Go Deeper

The deeper our relationship with God, the further along we are in our transformation walk, and the more we have of His nature. The more we have of His nature, the closer we are to being like Him. ~ DickEvans.org

You Have A Gift

We each have been given gifts and are called to use our gifts together to assist each other in the big picture. We are to collaborate as we go forth in the walk God has for us. ~ DickEvans.org

Being Christ Like

We need to study. We need to be in God's written word. In this, we get to know Him, to build our relationship with Him, and continuously renew our mind to be more Christ-like. As we add to that our experiential knowledge we move forward in our walk. ~ DickEvans.org

Relationship

A Relationship

Use His Words

To use Christ's words to teach and counsel others, we have to be in His Word. We have to be reading our bibles and listening to others who are preaching from His Word. The more of Him that comes in, the more of Him that others will see in us. ~ DickEvans.org

Take Time

We need to take the time each day to open our hearts and our ears to His voice. We purchased the spiritual hearing aid by faith when we became a believer. We need to turn it on each morning and make sure the volume is up. He will direct our path. Then we can truly live in obedience to Him. ~ DickEvans.org

Penetrate The Darkness

It is time that we stopped putting a label on others and treated them with as much love as we do our Christian friends. This is how they will get to know Christ. This is how Christ in us will be able to come out and penetrate the darkness. This is how the lost will be saved. ~ DickEvans.org

Be The Light

We are to be a light in the darkness all around us. But we are to be wise. We are to go forth into the darkness in full knowledge of where we are walking. We must be careful to not let any of the darkness in while making the most of every opportunity our journey unfolds for us, an opportunity to shine His light and preach His Word. Let God Fill Our Thoughts

Our heavenly Father is a polite God. He won't interrupt us as we listen to all the stuff we listen to. No, He patiently waits for us to open up to Him, to tune Him in instead of that talk show. Let's try talking to Him instead. Let's tell Him all about our plans and let Him have a chance to speak to us. Let's let Him fill our thoughts. ~ DickEvans.org

Seek Truth

We need to seek the truth for ourselves. To do that we need to have a relationship with Holt Spirit. If we give Him the opportunity, He will take the veil off of our eyes and we will see what was hidden from us. We will see treasures beyond our wildest imaginations, beyond the imaginations of the moviemakers and storytellers. ~ DickEvans.org

Be Dead

We should be dead to our own self and alive in Christ. We need to pray for a complete understanding of what He wants to do in our life. We need to ask the Holy Spirit to make us wise with spiritual wisdom. ~ DickEvans.org

Stay Focused

Isn't it time to make a resolution about chasing out the extra stuff from our own minds? It is time to drive out the ungodly thoughts, the schemes, and whatever is hanging around causing distraction and confusion. It is time to stay focused on our relationship with Him. ~ DickEvans.org

Love Others

God desires to bless us, but we must desire to bless Him by doing what He asks of us. He has asked each of us to love others as we love Him. He wants us to do good works toward others, to help them in their times of need, to be compassionate to them, and even to put them before ourselves. ~ DickEvans.org

Avoid Human Attempts

We need to avoid a human attempt to bring about the fulfillment of God's promise. We need to let God. We need to let Him make the necessary course corrections as we move forward in our walk. Only He has all the answers and only He knows the proper timing for the fulfillment of His promises. ~ DickEvans.org

Our Plan

How often do we forge ahead with our plans to fulfill what we believe God has promised in our lives? How many times do we miss it because we are so focused on our plan? God tries to tell us where He wants us to be, but we are too busy. ~ DickEvans.org

The Puzzle

Visualize each of us having a puzzle spread out on the kitchen table, all finished except for one piece. We can't find it anywhere, That last piece is Jesus, and with it fitted into place, we belong to Christ. We are Abraham's heirs and all of God's promises belong to us. ~ DickEvans.org

Follow His Lead

Believers still sin, but not because Christ led them into it. We make mistakes because we are still in this world and have not been perfected. It takes effort and a daily choice to walk a straight path following the lead of the Holy Spirit. With Him all things are possible. ~ DickEvans.org

Please Him

Pleasing people is not what Jesus meant when He told us to love others as He loves us. By doing what God has for us to do, we please God and love His people. ~ DickEvans.org

Let Him Work

The key in everything we say and do is to let the Holy Spirit do the work. His words of love and truth through our mouths can change a lost world. ~ DickEvans.org

Bild It

Isn't it time we go to the source of all, our Father God? He has given us all the answers in one instruction manual. He has given us the Bible, the inspired Word of God. As we build our relationship with Him, He reveals more and more to us at the pace we are ready to receive. ~ DickEvan.org

Position Yourself

To know what our mission is we must be in a relationship with the Holy Spirit. We must purposefully place ourselves in a position to receive from Him. We must not let the affairs of this life take us away from that relationship. ~ DickEvans.org

Gifts From God
