Listen

The Holy Spirit does not present His own ideas to us. All of the information He feeds us comes from the Father. God is the source of all. Jesus tells us that He never did anything without consulting the Father first. Are we not to do the same? ~ DickEvans.org

In Christ

Jesus is the anointing and the anointing is in us. We are in Christ and He is in us. It is not with skillfully created responses that we win others to Him. It is by being His ambassador, by being a light in a dark place. ~ DickEvans.org

Listen

God expects us to do our part. We ask of Him and then listen to what He says; listen to His response. After we act on His words back to us, we will see the fruit of His words. The end result may not look at all like our original request. ~ DickEvans.org

He Grows Us

We need to stop getting so wrapped up in who planted the seed in us and who watered that seed for a season or more. It is our relationship with God that caused us to grow. He grows us as we go; as we listen to Him and obey. ~ DickEvans.org

Recognition

Peter reminds us in 1 Peter 5:6 that it is not what man thinks or says about our accomplishments. It is encouraging to hear good words spoken about us, but it is recognition from God that counts more than any human praise. ~ DickEvans.org

Just Believe

John 6:29 NLT
Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”

How easy they had it back then and did not even realize it. The people saw Jesus on a day to day basis and yet still did not believe He was who He said. And they even saw and believed in the miraculous healings everywhere He went.

And here we are today still hearing people saying things like “If I see it with my own eyes I will believe it.”

Well we cannot see Jesus himself face to face until we enter Paradise to be with Him. And yet we can see Him in every born again believer. He is alive today and actively working through each of His followers; each of those who believe.

But how will others believe in Him who we believe if we don’t get out into the sea of unbelievers and show them? We are His light to a lost world and His commandment to us is the same today as it was when He spoke it to His disciples. “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.”

All Called

God has called each and every one of us, believers in Jesus Christ, to preach the gospel and lay hands on the sick. He even told the disciples that each of us would do greater things than He did. We would heal the sick and raise the dead. ~ DickEvans.org

Tell Your Story

When we are open about what God does in our lives, others feel our joy and see His presence in us. We tell our story. We talk about relationship and trust. We tell about what knowing Jesus has done in our lives. ~ DickEvans.org

Long Journey

Our relationship with Christ like a marriage. The work is not over when we say the words and ask Him. That is just the beginning of a long journey and each day we have to decide to continue. Make today the day that you decide to continue. ~ DickEvans.org

Jesus Heals

God's Word Is True

God's Word should drive society. Lately we have allowed society to change God's Word so it fits today's liberal view of life. God's forgiveness never allows us to live immoral lives. His Word never needs to be brought up to date. ~ DickEvans.org

God Loves

No matter what someone does, God loves them. They may be impure in thought and action. They may be greedy, 'me' focused, and unwilling to share any of what they have accumulated with anyone. God loves them. ~ DickEvans.org

The Song In Our Heart

Mark 16:15
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”

As I began this, I was shown a carrier pigeon. I had no idea why and then I realized that If left in their cage they are nothing but a bird waiting. Yes, when released they go with purpose to their intended destination. When their journey is complete they return.

His joy is waiting to be released. And He won’t release it by Himself. As we practice His presence in our day to day life we release His joy for the world to see. We are the carriers of that joy. Our mandate is to release it to the world.

As Holy Spirit directs us, we release that joy, that song in our heart to the one He points us to. As we do, that person is touched by God. They are filled with His joy. They are healed and filled beyond measure.

As we allow His joy to spread, it returns to us multiplied. The more of His love and joy we give out the more we receive.

They Watch

We may say all the correct, Christian things. We may talk the talk. But what others do is watch us, not listen to us. They watch to see evidence of Christ in who we are. ~ DickEvans.org

No Pride

We believers are all equal in Christ. We are all brothers and sisters in Him. Each of us has a destiny and a purpose, but that does not make better than anyone else. It makes us important to each other and to His ultimate purpose for all. ~ DickEvans.org

Discipline

There is a discipline in our transformation walk. We have to take the steps each day. We have to be disciplined to stay in His word and to take those messages on Sunday and meditate on them all week long, even if that means that we take notes in church. ~ DickEvans.org

Trust

People who do not trust us will never listen to what we have to say. We have Christ and others do not. They do not have any idea what they are missing, but they will never listen to us if they don't know us. Obey the law of Christ and we will gain their trust and come to know the Lord as we do. ~DickEvans.org

Focus on Jesus

When we are focused on Jesus instead of on ourselves, everything changes. It is no longer about us. In Christ, our interest is with the other person, no matter what they want to say. God's love in us draws them to us and we begin to focus on them. ~ DickEvans.org

Knowledge

Knowledge may be useful for those in churches trying to build the attendance by using worldly methods, marketing campaigns. But they do not work. Only God can give the increase. And God's only method is Love. ~ DickEvans.org

In God's Timing

Galatians 4:4
But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law

This was God's timing, the time for Jesus to go to the cross. And Jesus said "It is finished!"

There is nothing but our timing now. We have it all. He is in us and we are in Him. When are we going to let go and let God?

We are Kings and Priests. The kingdom of God is within. And yet we say we are waiting on God for His timing.

When are we going to realize it is already in His timing. We need to walk out of the old and walk in the new life in Him.

Listen

If we listen to God and do as He asks, then we will be filled with His joy. So it is time we stopped waiting for our situation to change before hearing His word. You see, hearing His word may be all we need to change the situation. ~ DickEvans.org

Change Your Enviorment

When we believed we received Christ and were given the gift of the Holy Spirit. He lives in us, comforting and guiding us in all that we do. Now our lives are inside out. Our environment should be changed because of it. ~ DickEvans.org

Good Choices

We must be careful, even when making 'good choices'. We can be so focused in the 'godly' work we are in, that we become a slave to the work and miss what God has for us to do. We must not let our desire to do His work keep us from hearing His Word. ~ DickEvans.org

Choices

As believers we do have free will and we can make any choice we wish. But we mustn't fool ourselves, or let the enemy fool us. There on consequences right in this life for our actions. ~ DickEvans.org

One Spirit

We are one spirit with the Lord. That is an awesome realization. He is in us and we are in Him. As we mature in our relationship with Him, we begin to know what He wants and think what He thinks. ~ DickEvans.org

Purposely Sinning

It is not about the daily sin we all seem to end up in no matter how hard we try. It is about purposely indulging in sin. It is not our job to judge other believers in their walk with the Lord but we must not ignore this type of sin and sweep it under the carpet. ~ DickEvans.org

Know God

People will come to know God by knowing us, if we are living led by Holy Spirit. They will see Him in us as we walk His walk each day. They will see the evidence of His presence and look to follow Him. ~ DickEvans.org
