Stop Hiding

It is time we stop hiding in a corner about our beliefs. It is time that we speak out. God makes a way for us. Freedom

Transformation

Be Sure

We must be sure we are moving forward on the path He has for us and are not diverted off the path into enemy territory by some covert operation designed by Satan. Don't avoid the lost sheep. Embrace them with wisdom always asking Him for guidance in all. ~ DickEvans.org

In His Word

The best way, the only way to follow Jesus is to get into His word daily. It will change your life. It will transform you from your old, sinful nature into His nature. It will get you one step closer each day to becoming that person who was created in His image and likeness. ~ DickEvans.org

Follow His Lead

If we let our sinful nature control us in any way we are opening the door for the next thing and the next and the next. In all we do we must choose life, we must choose to listen to the Holy Spirit and follow His lead. ~ DickEvans.org

Watchers

It is not only God who is watching. Others are watching also. They are waiting to see if we really are who we tell them we are; if we really are the believer we profess to be. ~ DickEvans.org

His Plan

We need to dig in and let God speak to us through His Word and tell us what He has for us. He is ready to give us the plan and show us the path to follow to accomplish it. Take the time to dig. Take the time to speak with Him today. Get into His Word. ~ DickEvans.org

Extra Weight

The more extra weight, the more baggage we have hanging on from the past that we can unload off of us, the more of His light can shine through us. And it is not the words we say to others that counts as much as the light that they see from us day by day. ~ DickEvans.org

Turn It Off

Turn off that CD. Shut that book. Get in a quiet place, perhaps even your car as you drive to and fro. Open your heart and then open your mouth. Acknowledge who He is to you. Speak it out. Worship Him in words. Worship Him in your heavenly language. Sing it out. Thank God for all He has done for you. Bless His holy name. And remember that His love will never fail you. He will never leave you. And His faithfulness is forever.

Say It In Love

Say what is on your heart and say it in love. It will be appreciated. You see we all want to become more "new" than "old". But unless we work together the more that process will take longer than necessary. ~ DickEvans.org

Behavior

We are not judged by others by who we say we are. We are judged by our behavior. ~ DickEvans.org

His Will

Being a believer means we follow God's will. And to know what that is we must have a relationship with Him. We must communicate with Him daily and a large part of that communications involves being in His Word. ~ DickEvans.org

Time To Begin

Isn’t It time for us to stop being so double-minded? It is time to stop thinking about our earthly things and ourselves. It is time to strengthen, even to begin, our relationship with God. And we better do it now, before it is too late. ~ DickEvans.org

What Affects Us

It is not about what is available in this world that affects us; it is about what we allow to affect us. And if we are going to continue to walk the walk God has for us, we must save ourselves from this generation. We must put our "shields up" as we go about our daily business. We must be followers of Christ and doers of His Word. ~ DickEvans.org

Speak To God

If we speak to God, He will respond to us. He promised that in His Word. And He does. So let's begin our day with Him. Thank Him for the day that He has made and rejoice in it. ~ DickEvans.org

Accept Him

God sent the last Adam, Jesus, to bring us out of darkness to become all that God intended for us to be. All we have to do is reach out in faith and accept Jesus and take the position God has for us to take. Take your place in His creation today. ~ DickEvans.org

Good Things

It is not that we cannot have the good things of this life. It is that we should not be greedy about obtaining them. We should not be overwhelmed in our pursuit of them. We should not put them before our relationship with God. ~ DickEvans.org

Communicate

Communicate with God all day long. Thank Him in all you do. Ask Him to guide you in all situations. That is prayer. As He led Jesus in all things, He will lead you. ~ DickEvans.org

Love

It is not a matter of relying on having confidence in others; it is a matter of knowing the Truth and forgiving transgressions in others as their "old man" comes forth from time to time. We need to show Love to receive Love; Love is reflected in Love. ~ DickEvans.org

Call Out

Call out to God for His help. He will come to your rescue and your enemies will retreat. He is your God and He is on your side. ~ DickEvans.org

Let His Love Shine

Let's agree to look past what we might have to complain about and look to the good we have gained. And in all things let His love shine through us each day. ~ DickEvans.org

The New Normal

I am reading articles about the new normal for the world being a virtual world. Many are using applications like Zoom and Facebook live video to connect with others. A number of businesses have created virtual storefronts even restaurants are having us place orders online and either have the food delivered or are offering curbside delivery. Around here many restaurants are starting to open but with limited seating.

1 John 4:13 NKJV
By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.

As Paul tells us we are no longer who we used to be we are who we have become in Christ. Holy Spirit and our spirit have become one. Paul refers to us as aliens in this world.

2 Corinthians 5:16 NIV
So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.
As we look at others we see them through the eyes of He who abides in us. We see past the worldliness and into their true self. This allows us to show them the love of Christ unhindered by worldly limitations.

So before this pandemic what was your normal? Were you part of the world doing worldly things? Or was your normal different than the world?

1 John 2:15-17 NKJV
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

We are to be in the world be that be virtual or physical but not of the world. We are in Christ and He is in us. And each day we learn something new about how to walk in the spirit and not by the flesh.

Believe it and receive it.

Earnestly

If we are in Christ, are we not a new creature? And as such, all things are become new. So let's walk forth as that new creature, that new man bearing the fruit He has for us as we deliver His message in earnest. ~ DickEvans.org

Praise God

We praise God in how we treat His children. We praise Him in our prayers. We praise Him in our daily lifestyle. We praise in all we do, in Him. His mercies are new every morning. ~ DickEvans.org

Turn To Holy Spirit

We have to look beyond human rules all the time. God's standard is what we need to live by. It is His character we want to emulate, not societies. We need to turn to Holy Spirit for direction in all that we do. ~ DickEvans.org

Relationship

When I became born again, I began to understand that prayer was not saying a memorized bunch of words over and over again. No, it was about having a relationship with God; about speaking to Him. It was about staying alert to His voice and being thankful to Him for all that happens each day. ~ DickEvans.org

Reach Out

Our task is to reach the lost and present the Gospel message to them. We are waiting for Jesus to return and He is waiting for us to share Him. Let's do our part today. ~ DickEvans.org

Step Out

Jesus said we would do even greater things than He had done. But that does not come from knowing how to speak so that others follow. The power comes as we step out and obey the Holy Spirit; as we do what He asks of us. ` DickEvans.org
