Teachers

We need to put ourselves in the hands of teachers that we know we can trust to teach the truth. And we need to be those teachers for our children. Then when they remain faithful to the truth they have been taught, we can have confidence in the outcome. ~ DickEvans.org

Observe

Perhaps it is time we started to look at our children and observe what they have been learning from us and what they have been learning from others we place them around. Are they learning to take the right path? ~ DickEvans.org

Learn To Listen

The more we learn to listen, the easier it will be for us to be slow to speak. For as we listen more we will understand more and be centered on whom we are speaking with instead of on our agenda and ourselves. ~ DickEvans.org

Good Works

After we have accepted the fact that we are saved, then it is time to go forth and take on the great commission. It is time to spread the gospel message and do the good works Holy Spirit has for us to do. Good works are involved, but not until after we have accepted the free gift of salvation. ~ DickEvans.org

Our Rock

No matter what we say and no matter what we do, the Lord is still our rock and our redeemer. He loves us through all the misdeeds that we are a part of as well as through all of our good works. Thank you for loving me, Lord, right where I am at. ~ DickEvans.org

Fools

Holy Spirit, give me ears to hear what others are really saying and wisdom to respond to their words in a way that edifies them and not just my own opinions. In Jesus' name. ~ DickEvans.org

Correction

But we must be careful as to where correction comes from. Is it godly correction meant to help us or is it correction meant to take us off the correct path? We need to ask Holy Spirit daily to give us the wisdom to know the difference. ~ DickEvans.org

Change Me

I pray God will continue to change me so I can say that my interest in this world and its things died long ago. And until then, I put Him first in my life, for it is that one relationship I have that can truly change me. ~ DickEvans.org

The Time Is Now

For what God has for each of us to do, the time is always now. The time is always right for us. This is the place. This is the time. It's our turn. We need to listen to the Father's voice and do what He tells us. ~ DickEvans.org

Alone

Do you know anyone who is truly alone? I am sure you do. I do. Isn't it time we showed them the light? Isn't it time we let them in on the secret? Take them to one side today and let them know how they too can do everything with the help of Christ. ~ DickEvans.org

Pop Out

Reading God’s Word builds relationship with Him and as our relationship with Him grows so does our understanding. As our understanding grows He begins to reveal things to us right out of His Word as we read - it seems to pop right out of the book. ~ DickEvans.org

No Free Lunch

The old saying "There is no such thing as a free lunch" is really true. And it comes right down to the fact that we can't ignore God and get away with it. There is always a consequence for our actions. ~ DickEvans.org

Deeper

Father God, bring me into a deeper understanding of your love. Thank you for the endurance that You have placed in me and for always being by my side no matter what I am going through or where I am. In Jesus' name, Amen. ~ DickEvans.org

The Mark

Because we are believers in Jesus Christ, God has saved us. And therefore He has marked us with His mark. He has given us the Holy Spirit, the comforter to live in us. But the question is, "Do we display the mark? Do we do what He asks of us each day?' ~ DickEvans.org

Give Thanks

Each morning we need to remember who He is. We need to thank Him for every good thing and thank Him for being in the midst of adversity with us while we go through the trials of this earthly existence. And we need to hang out with others that know who He is, others that are the path of the godly. ~ DickEvans.org

Who Do We Show

When the chips are down, do we show the love of Christ? When we are no longer in control of our words, are our words encouraging and uplifting? Is the face that others see the face of Christ in us? ~ DickEvans.org

Relationship

We must remind ourselves how much God loves us, no matter what choice we make. We must be in communication with Him, reading His Word each day and continually improving the relationship we have with Him. For isn't it through the relationship we build friendship and trust? ~ DickEvans.org

Criticism

Valid criticism given with love and taken in and treasured as something of value can change us. It can speak to our blind spots, to those areas that only others can see. We make mistakes and others point them out and without making mistakes how do we grow? ~ DickEvans.org

Instruction

Commit yourself to instruction. Allow Holy Spirit to instruct you each day. Allow Him to fill the ears of your heart with new revelation. ~ DickEvans.org

Plan

We must plan in our daily lives for failing to plan is planning to fail. But we have to leave room for Him. It is His plan that will prevail. ~ DickEvans.org

Be Open

We need to let the Lord show us the way. We need to be open for the signs He places along our path. We need to let Him be in charge. ~ DickEvans.org

To Choose

It always comes back to our God given right to choose. We must listen to the Holy Spirit speaking to us and choose the Truth. We will earn esteem and not only from those around us. ~ DickEvans.org

Hunger

We need to attack our Bible with a hunger for the revelation God has waiting for us to unravel in those sixty-six books. We need to open ourselves up for new ideas and be the intelligent people He made us to be. DickEvans.org

More

We may not be as hungry for truth as God would have us be. What do we do about that? He said to ask Him, didn't He? In your time with Him, ask for a deeper hunger for truth. Ask for a deeper revelation of His word. Ask him for more for we never can have enough of Him. ~ DickEvans.org

Find The Wise

Whoever walks with fools will suffer harm. Don't let anyone stand between you and where you are going. Find people who support your endeavors. Find the wise to walk with. ~ DickEvans.org

Prosperity

Prosperity is not only measured with fatter wallets. It can come in the form of new relationships. It can come in forms you cannot even imagine. Let's continue to pray for prosperity. Let us not be idle. And let us be open to what God sends our way. ~ DickEvans.org

Refresh

We need to love and give to others because that is who we are. It has nothing to do with a "what's in it for me" attitude. As the proverb says, "those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed". It is time for all of us to be refreshed. ~ DickEvans.org

Listen

It is up to us to listen for God’s voice. When He speaks we need to act on what He is saying. And it is always up to us. We always get to choose to do what He tells us or to ignore what He tells us. We are ultimately responsible for our actions. ~ DickEvans.org

Reminder

We need to remember and follow God's word and commands all the time. We need to tie a string on our finger. We need to have reminders all around to help us get into His word, to remind us to pray and whom to pray for. ~ DickEvans.org
