Gods Love

God loves us. That is why He sent Jesus to walk the earth and die on the cross for all our sins, past, present, and future. He came to show us the way; the way to everlasting life. Continue

We must continue in the teaching of Christ. We must be in His Word daily, not only the words of others. All that we read from others must be tested by the Truth we find in the Bible. It is through His Word that we will have fellowship with the Father and with Jesus. ~ DickEvans.org

God's Word is clear

God's Word is clear. We are not told to hate the things of this world. We are told not to place them above our God and our love for His children. Success is not about what we have in this journey through life. It is about who we are in Christ. ~ DickEvans.org

Watch Out

There are brothers and sisters in Christ that we are better off not hanging around with because the issues they deal with cause us to stumble. Their issues are a strong pull towards our old ways but that does not mean that we hate the person. We love them and pray for them just as we do all our brothers and sisters. ~ DickEvans.org

Practice

We need to be practicing our God given assignment of preaching the good news to those we meet in our daily travels. As He leads us to do that and we obey we have experiences to share and encourage others with. They will be encouraged by our good example. ~ DickEvans.org

His Will

We will not find the will of God for our lives in the latest Christian movie or book. That is only discovered through our relationship with Him. As that relationship grows, so does our ability to understand. He reveals it to us and as we uncover it we become anxious to do His will. ~ DickEvans.org

Leave It To God

Jesus knew the Father’s will and Jesus knew his purpose. Therefore, He did not have to defend His actions to protect His name. He always left it in the hands of God. Isn’t it time that we did the same? ~ DickEvans.org

Behavior

We can’t change ourselves, but we can watch ourselves. When we see behavior arising that is not in line with how we understand our new life is to be, we can ask Holy Spirit to help us take the right path; to help us to be good. ~ DickEvans.org

The Prize

The prize awaits us all when the race is over when Jesus returns to reign for a millennium. Then we will all receive the prize we have earned; we will all be together in our glorious bodies at peace with God for eternity. ~ DickEvans.org

Love and Good News

Outbursts of love and good deeds are not just to be a thing of the mind, but of the heart. As we become more and more Christ like, the fruit of the spirit becomes more and more prevalent in our lives. It is this joy and this love for His children that prompts us to the good deeds for others, believers or not. ~ DickEvans.org

Success

Don't follow another’s footsteps just because they seem to have success. It is our walk with Jesus that counts more than worldly success. If we walk the path He has for us, we will reach the end He has for us and that is true success. ~ DickEvans.org

A Prescription

Listening to the Truth, to God’s words, is more than just taking them in with our ears. It is more than being entertained or enlightened. We must live our lives according to what we have heard. His words are a prescription for us to take. As we listen and obey, we grow; we take on more of His nature doing the work He has for us to do. ~ DickEvans.org

Help Others

Those that have urgent needs may include believers and unbelievers. The key is not who they are it is that we are willing to help them in their need. It is through our productive lives that God will open up opportunity after opportunity for us to help others. It is up to us to ask Him to show them to us and guide us into helping them. ~ DickEvans.org

Called To Serve

Each of has a ministry that God has given to us. We are all called to serve His children and to bring the world the message of the Good News of Christ. We bring the message and He will save those that He has made ready. ~ DickEvans.org

Action

It takes action on our part to obey the rules and say no to our desires to get around the rules. As we grow in our relationship with God, He changes us. As we take on more of the nature of Christ, our desires line up with His will. - DickEvans.org

Growth

Growth comes directly from God. As we build our relationship with Him, we receive the nourishment we need to grow into the person He destined us to become. Let’s take the time to be with our Father God today. ~ DickEvans.org

Take Time

The more we walk in the spirit, the better life we will have right here on earth. And the closer a relationship we have with God now, the greater our rewards in this life and the next. Let’s take the time for spiritual exercise today. ~ DickEvans.org

Stick To It

Our task is to bring the gospel message to the lost but not by trying to logically convince through our own words. God saves and God’s Word will always rise as the victor. We need to stick to the task and stay away from those that try to pull and push us in other directions. ~ DickEvans.org

Listen

We need to keep our conscience clear by clinging tightly to our faith in Christ. Holy Spirit will guide us into all Truth, steering us in the right direction and keeping us away from the popular issues that could shipwreck our faith. We need to listen and obey. ~ DickEvans.org

Call Out

We were commissioned to preach the gospel message; to tell about the Good News. When we simply do that, those that have ears to hear will listen and God will call them to salvation. It is then that they will call out to Jesus and be saved. ~ DickEvans.org

Opportunity

 As we go about our lives each day, Holy Spirit will guide us and open up opportunity after opportunity for us; opportunities to bless others and for us to be blessed. All we have to do is stay focused on Him, listen to His voice and act on what He tells us. - DickEvans.org

Seek His Face

The Sunday morning service, the Bible study, or the small group does not produce growth; it should stimulate us to seek God’s face. As we focus on Him and our relationship with Him, we will be fed. It is through that nourishment that we will become strong and growth will occur. - DickEvans.org

Stay Tuned

As we walk our daily walk in the world, God will present opportunities to us. He will show us those that need healing, those that need friendship, and those that are ready to hear the gospel message. It is up to us to keep our ears tuned to Him so we can make the most of every opportunity He presents to us. ~ DickEvans.org

Spend Our Time

As we spend our time with those that are honorable and right, those that are doing things excellent and worthy of praise, then we will be also. ~ DickEvans.org

Obey Truth

We must use the Truth we have learned. We are not called to be a large storage device filling up with more and more Truth. As we obey the truth He has revealed to us, we receive more. The more we walk in obedience the more we receive and the further we progress in our walk with Him. ~ DickEvans.org

Forward Thinking

God wants us forward thinking, focused on His plan for us. He wants all our energies on our relationship with Him, on our walk with Him, and on our obedience to His voice. When our eyes are on Him we can focus forward with excitement and anticipation. ~ DickEvans.org

Wait On Him

We give it to God, and then we tend to help God by doing what we know He would want us to do. But trusting Him means waiting on Him. It means depending on Him knowing that nothing else you could do would work, knowing that He will come through. And that depends on Faith. ~ DickEvans.org
