We Are Free

We are free because Christ has set us free. We are in Him and He is in us. All He asks of us is to listen and obey. Listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit and do what He tells us to do. We must choose to walk forth in that freedom today. ~ DickEvans.org

He Wants All Of Us

Rules and laws, Old Testament and New Testament. It can be very confusing. But God does not want us one or two times a week. He wants us all the time. He wants all of us all of the time. Isn't it time that we each turned it all over to Him? ~ DickEvans.org

Walk It Out

Jesus told us Holy Spirit would show us all things. He is our comforter and teacher. Isn't it time to leave our worldly ways and listen? As we listen to Holy Spirit we grow into the perfection He has for us as we walk out our transformation walk. ~ DickEvans.org

God Speaks

We should not be intimidated by those with titles in life. They may be powerful in our society but are not more powerful than our God. When God speaks, He speaks through His people and we need to choose to let Him do so. ~ DickEvans.org

We Knew

When we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we stepped out in faith, not thought. We asked because we knew that we knew that if we asked He would come. And He did. We became a new creature in Christ when we took that step. ~ DickEvans.org

Who I Am

Romans‬ ‭2:14-15‬ ‭NKJV
for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them.

After Adam and Eve's sin and expulsion from the Garden of Eden, they had to work with their hands to provide for themselves, and God dealt with the human race through their "conscience"

After the Great Flood of Noah, God began to use human governments to "govern" the world. "Governmental powers" were answerable to God, as they ruled the nations of mankind.

Gentiles are still at this place while the Jews were given God's promises and His law.

The gentile world is still in the age of government led by our consciences.

Then came Jesus who brought all who believe into the age of grace.

It is not about where you were. It is all about where He has brought you to, not what he brought you through. You are who you are because of the Cross. And the only requirement is to believe it.

Don't believe and you are still where you were under the government of this world, under the ruler of this world, Satan.

Believe and walk with Christ. He is in you and you in Him. The spirit of Christ, the Holy Spirit guides us, comforts us, and teaches us all things. He will never leave us or forsake us.

I am who I am because I am says I am. Believe it and receive it.

Can They Tell

Can others tell by what we are like who lives in us? Or do they only know because we tell them so? They will know because we listen to the Holy Spirit within us, that still small voice. As we obey Him, the evidence will unfold. ~ DickEvans.org

Take Time

Take time to let God into your life each day. Then listen for His voice so you can let Him out for others to see and hear. ~ DickEvans.org

God Changes Things

Jesus did not tell us to go forth and solve society's issues of the day. He told us to go out and tell the story. Tell the world what Jesus is doing in our life. It is God that changes things. ~ DickEvans.org

God's Plan

We need to know God's plan for us. That is first and foremost. Then we need to stay within the boundaries He has for us within that plan. He will never open doors for us that are beyond our ability to walk through. ~ DickEvans.org

Let's Get Out There

Jesus commissioned us to go into the world and tell the good news. Word of mouth is how it happens. It is people to people contact that really works. Let’s get out in the day to day world and tell the story. ~ DickEvans.org

He Provides

Now there are times when God will tell us to do something out of the ordinary. But when we know it is from Him, we also know He will provide the means. ~ DickEvans.org

Listen

No matter what our issues, we just have to listen to God. We have to consider the reason for our situation and let Him show us what we have to change. Then we can move forward with confidence knowing He is always with us. ~ DickEvans.org

Tell Your Story

We are to let others be drawn in so we can be a positive force to them but not to partner with them. We are to be in the world but not of the world. We are to go and tell our story, tell the story of Jesus and what He has done in our lives. ~ DickEvans.org

True Evidence

The true evidence of being a believer, a Christian, is change. When we accept Jesus into our hearts and ask Him to be our Lord and Savior, we become a new person, alien to this old body of ours. We are not the same anymore and others notice subtle changes in us. Sometimes the change is dramatic. But we must be careful that the change is not superficial. We don't change us. He changes us. We don't decide what needs to be changed and project the perception of change to others. The change is not a mask that we put on. Real change occurs when we truly turn our lives over to Jesus. ~ DickEvans.org

The True Solution

We can't talk people out of what they are in the middle of. No, we need to lead them to Jesus and He will guide them to all truth. It is time to stop preaching to the problem. Preach the only true solution, the message of Jesus. ~ DickEvans.org

The Veil

When unbelievers are ready to hear the message, they hear it. And when they say those words asking Jesus into their heart, the veil is ripped off and their new life begins. Who did you ask today? ~ DickEvans.org

Love Reflects

 If  you are happy and loving towards others, then you can expect to receive the same back from most. And when you don’t it is not because of you. It is because they need to learn the same lesson. For love is reflected in love. ~ DickEvans.org

Called To Intercede

Some are called to intercede for others. They spend hours in prayer for specific persons and even time praying without any knowledge of whom they are interceding for. God knows. The next time you think about someone you have not heard from in a long time, stop and pray for them. ~ DickEvans.org

Can't Be Taken Back

How often do we take what money just came it and use it for what we want, not considering our obligations because the "bill" has not come in the mail yet? Let’s not wait until it is too late for what has been spent cannot be taken back. ~ DickEvans.org

Effort

Whether your efforts are seen by others or not, whether you see immediate results or not, your work is not in vain. Work done expressing God’s love always has a return. ~ DickEvans.org

Relationship

Our growth as a Christian isn't about knowledge, it is about a relationship. Our knowledge of His Word grows because of who we are in Him and not which church we attend or what books we read. In a church, we celebrate that relationship and give Him all the praise and glory collectively as the Body of Christ. ~ DickEvans.org

The Mirror

As believers, we are given a taste of things God knows and allowed to see a reflection a mirror that is just a little bit more perfect. As our relationship with Him increases, the reflection clears. But it will always be partial and incomplete while we are here on earth. ~ DickEvans.org

One Body

Without all the members of the body working and working together, the body does not function as a complete and whole body. As believers, we are all equal in Christ and we all need each other. ~ DickEvans.org

Examine Us

We need to examine our walk and make sure it meets up with our talk. We need to listen to what the Holy Spirit tells us to do and do it. ~ DickEvans.org

Not Everything

Not everything that we choose is helpful to the task God has given us. We are to bring the message of Christ to the world. Do our choices lead us down that path or down our own paths? ~ DickEvans.org

Bring It

It is never about bringing people to our way of life in this world. It is about bringing the message of Jesus to people in their life, in their world. We are the messengers. If they are ready to hear the message, they will. God will do the rest. ~ DickEvans.org

Our Actions

It is not all about us. Our love for our friends should have us consider their needs above our desires. The question we should ask ourselves is this. "Will my actions cause them to make the wrong choices?" If there is any doubt, we must choose the action that will keep them from stumbling. ~ DickEvans.org

Never Stop

When we first received Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior there was nothing we would not do to tell the world what just happened. We need to learn as He teaches us in every situation we get into, but never allow that initial excitement go away. We need to keep telling others the good news we found. ~ DickEvans.org

Ask Him

We must be open to counsel from others that are walking the same walk as we are. Not everything is good for us even though we can choose to do it. We must be willing to let the Word of God guide us in our choices each day. We must ask Him for help. ~ DickEvans.org

Not About Works

How often do we judge a person based on their good works just like the world does? We need to find out more about someone before we develop a relationship. It is what is beneath the surface that will change us. It is the spirit behind the words and the actions that may come to destroy. ~ DickEvans.org
