GIGO

I have been in computer work since the early 60’s. We had a saying back then “garbage in, garbage out”.

It is as true today as it was then as we look at the successes and failures in this life.

The Word speaks to us of the things to avoid in this earthly life. It succinctly explains it in many scriptures such as:

‭‭1 Corinthians ‭5:11‬ ‭NLT
I meant that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don’t even eat with such people.

If you desire to follow Jesus watch who you hang around with, what you watch, and what you read.

Not everyone claiming to be a Christian is leading a lifestyle you should be following.

Not every movie or TV preacher is setting a good example of being Christ like.

There are some great “Christian” books and there are many that will lead you astray.

Pray about all things. Pray about who you are spending time with, what you are allowing in through your eyes and ears, what you are meditating on with the books and websites and blogs and facebook posts.

Satan has many ways to deceive us today. He is a liar and a thief. Be careful and mindful. Let Holy Spirit guide you in all things.

We grow in the things we are fed. So let us purposely keep the garbage out so we can say “good stuff in results in good stuff out”. And we will walk in the abundant life we have been promised.
