Be Content

Philippians 4:11-13 NIV
I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

As we stay indoors in our homes waiting for the "all clear" to be sounded it may seem hard to think about being content.

How are we to be content with all the bad news coming at us?

God is for us not against us. Whatever the enemy has to send into the world to come against us God will protect us. God is in control and will turn everything around for our benefit.

We have not been given a spirit of fear but a sound mind. He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. Nothing shall harm us.

Look to who we are in Christ and not who the world says we are. Use wisdom as you go into the world but go in full assurance of victory.

Father, thank you for another day in our life with you. Thank you for your grace. May we be content right where we are, listening for Your voice and following it, knowing You will lead us into restful green pastures and guide us along paths of righteousness.

Thank you for our health as we endure in these human bodies. May they serve us well as we follow you.

Keep us on track today. Always ready to answer the call you have for us. Ready moment to moment.

May all our actions and words spoken today bless others and bless you Holy Spirit. May Your presence and love shine through us.
