Changes

As believers, the changes in us are attributed to God and that gives Him the glory and the praise. Because of Him, our lives change as we become more and more like Jesus; as we take on more and more of his nature. ~ DickEvans.org

Focus

Our focus in life is to be on Jesus. If that is true, then our requests will be lined up with His will. When they are, He promises that He will fulfill them in the timing He knows is right for us. ~ DickEvans.org

Right or Wrong

When we are in a relationship with another it should never be about right and wrong. He wants us to be kind to each other, to give grace always. He wants us to listen and respond out of love for each other rather than having to always be right. Christ came and died on that cross so that our sins would be forever forgiven by God. Shouldn’t we be forgiving to each other as well?

Release Him

By releasing Holy Spirit to work in our lives, He is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope. It is through each and every one of us that God is manifesting His awesome power today. - DickEvans.org

Plug In

As we plug into God and allow the Holy Spirit to work in us, as we pray in our prayer language, and as we develop our relationship with Him, our battery becomes charged. When fully charged, that power is ready to be released and as we pray for others the incredible greatness of His power working through us is manifested in their lives. ~ DickEvans.org

Listening

We must be careful not to let others mislead us and pull us off the track God has for us. The more we ignore Him, the more often we will reap the wrong harvest. So let’s refine our listening and throw away that selective listening chip so that we hear all that He has for us. ~ DickEvans.org

Change

As our relationship with God grows and we allow Him to change us, we are changed into new and different people. ~ DickEvans.org

Work In Progress

As a general rule, we know what issues God is still helping us work on. I believe if we cannot be a stronger influence on someone else than they are to us, we should keep our distance from them so we don't fall into that same temptation again. ~ DickEvans.org

Freedom

As believers, we are free from the grip of Satan. Satan needs only to be resisted to be overcome. We are not free to do what is wrong; not free to sin as before. Our freedom is to be used to obey Holy Spirit and to serve one another in love. ~ DickEvans.org

Listen

We must listen to Holy Spirit. He will guide us daily. We are to lead a life led by Christ Within. As we seek His guidance, He directs our steps so we may pick ourselves up when we fall and go on. ~ DickEvans.org

We Believe

God continues to work miracles among us because we believe. Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior because we believed the message. Because we believed, the Holy Spirit came to reside in each of us to comfort us and guide us into all Truth. ~ DickEvans.org

No Idea

We have no idea how many times we have missed an opportunity by how we have reacted to strangers. They may have been drawn to us because of the light of Jesus in us and were ready to hear the Good News. They may have needed a kind word at that very moment to keep them from doing something very wrong. Or they may have been angels sent by God and we turned them away because we were too busy with our own agenda. Let’s open our eyes and take the time to reach out to a stranger today. ~ DickEvans.org

Fruit

It is only through the evidence that anyone can know that we are truly walking with the Lord and that evidence is the outpouring of the Fruit of the Spirit in our lives. When Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” ~ DickEvans.org

Looking Forward

We are on this transformation walk, this journey to our salvation. No matter what happens to us while we are in this human form, the end justifies the circumstances we need to fight through. We look forward to what we have not seen; we look forward to eternity with Jesus. ~ DickEvans.org

Fragrance

When we walk into a room do others smell the fragrance of a life in Christ? If they are ready to hear the Gospel message, they will be attracted to the essence of His nature which they sense in our presence. They are ready to hear, ready to receive, and ready to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. ~ DickEvans.org

Masks

We need to examine ourselves daily and shed the masks we put on. When we are willing to do that, God can show us the things needing correction. With Holy Spirit’s help, we can walk each day with Christ on the inside and the outside; we can bring down the false fronts. ~ DickEvans.org

Good Company

Good company changes bad character. The more time we spend in the presence of other believers, others who are in Christ, the easier it is to discern the error in our path as we walk in the world each day. And as we walk in the world, others will be changed by our good company, the character of Christ. ~ DickEvans.org

Be The Light

We are to be the light of Jesus in an otherwise dark place. We are to be friendly to others, yet be who we are in Christ as we join in with them. As we gain their confidence, they will be drawn to the Light and we will be given the opportunity to share Jesus with them. ~ DickEvans.org

Continue As You Were

The changes inside give us the ability to reach those that have been around us for years; those that we work with and those that we spend our non-working time with. God wants us to continue on as we were. Then others will come to know Him through us. ~ DickEvans.org

Wisdom

There is nobody on earth that even approaches the wisdom of God. We have is just a sliver of His knowledge and of His wisdom. Yet He wants us to have it all. The only thing getting in the way is us. As we ask for wisdom each day He will give it to us. ~ DickEvans.org

Input

We must have some input to weigh our decisions against so we can more easily answer the question “Is it Godly or ourselves or is it the enemy?” The choice is always ours to make however it is to our benefit for us to use the Godly input that the Holy Spirit supplies. ~ DickEvans.org

He Reveals Truths

Non-believers do not understand. As Spirit-filled believers, we have God’s Spirit within. Our spirit understands what God’s spirit is saying. The Holy Spirit reveals these truths to us. ~ DickEvans.org

Serve and Encourage

We are to serve others and to encourage them in the faith. In doing so we must be considerate of their beliefs for if our actions make them stumble into what they believe is a sin we are not serving them. If we are not serving others, we are not serving God. ~ DickEvans.org

Encourage Others

We should continue to encourage others to remain in the Word. As they meditate on God's word, the Holy Spirit can speak and reveal truth to them. ~ DickEvans.org

He Never Pulls Away

As we continue to trust in God, He continues to be our loving and kind Father. That trust begins in faith and grows as we see the results, the fulfillment of His promises in our lives. If we give in to the erroneous thoughts, to the enemy, we pull away from God but He never pulls away from us. ~ DickEvans.org

His Plan

I believe God is at our side even when it is our agenda that we are working hard at. But let’s not forget He has a plan for us, a plan created before we were born. It is that plan that allows us to be a part of His agenda. That is what we were created to do. ~ DickEvans.org

God Knows

When God has a task for us to do, He does not look at our worldly training or experience. He does not require a certain degree before selecting us. He knows our potential. He knows better than we do what we are capable of accomplishing. If He calls us out to perform a task, no matter how difficult or impossible it may seem, we can do it. He will give us whatever is needed to see it through. ~ DickEvans.org

When Tempted

We are believers following Jesus. We know better than to slip back into our old ways of doing evil. So when tempted to do the things we used to do, the things our old nature was comfortable with, we must obey God because we are His children. ~ DickEvans.org

The Light

John 8:12
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

We think about turning on a light and our mind goes to flicking a switch. That is what we do daily. We turn lights on in our house to be able to see. We turn our headlights on in our vehicle to be able to see as we drive at night.

Our natural eyes do not see well when we are surrounded by darkness. We need the light of day from the sun or we need artificial light to brighten up a room.

Yet even in that bright room there can be darkness. It is in another realm. It is spiritual darkness. It is evil.

The light you bring when you walk into the room exposes the evil and drives it out. It exposes the love of Jesus you bring everywhere your feet take you.

His light shines through you as your smile lights up a room. His light shine as Holy Spirit speaks truth through your lips. His light shines as you lay your hands on the sick and they are healed.

Just like a tiny flashlight turned on it a dark room, Holy Spirit lights up a room as you walk into it. His presence overpowers any evil that may be trying to manifest.

Believe it and receive it.

When God Teaches

When God is teaching us, He may be moving us from one place to another in our thinking. We must be ready to let that happen. Some even switch churches because they don’t like what He is revealing to them through the messages given from the platform. They look for a place that teaches them what they desire to learn instead of staying at the place where He has them. ~ DickEvans.org

Believe

But all who believe in Jesus are made right with God. There is no qualification except to believe. We do not have to work hard trying to obey the old law to be made right in His eyes. We just have to believe in Him; believe in Jesus. ~ DickEvans.org

Success

The first step to success is in understanding that it is God’s plan we are to work on, not ours. To begin we need to realize He won’t get us to the next step until we can accept things just the way they are. It is then He places into motion the next phase of His plan. ~ DickEvans.org
