There is no for a shortcut to becoming Christ like. No matter how much we try, the only way is through a personal relationship with Jesus. He is the way, the truth and the light. Only He can direct our steps. It is by being in His company that we take on His character. ~ DickEvans.org

Our Body
This body of ours is the temple of the Holy Spirit and we still don't take care of it! What we let it get involved in should be what Holy Spirit leads us to and not what the world has for it. We must honor God with our body and in all that we do! ~ DickEvans.org

Gifts
Be open to the opportunities that Holy Spirit places in front of you. Be willing to take that step of faith to try something new. Gifts are like a muscle, as you use them, they grow and grow and grow. ~ DickEvans.org
He Waits
I believe God would like us to be focused on Him our entire life, but He loves us even when we aren't quite there yet. He waits for us to open our eyes and see all that He has prepared in advance for us. ~ DickEvans.org

Involved
When I get involved with something, I jump in feet first. I believe that is what God wants of us and our relationship with Him. After all Holy Spirit is in us awaiting us to allow Him to work through us daily. ~ DickEvans.org

Challenges
Challenges are opportunities for change. God is right there with us, at our side as we go through the difficult times. So count every challenge as an opportunity for growth, and that is something to be joyful about. ~ DickEvans.org

You Got it All
2 Corinthians 1:22 NLT
and he has identified us as his own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first installment that guarantees everything he has promised us.
When you said yes to Jesus you got it all. Holy Spirit is your guarantee. You did not just unlock a door. You did not just get a ticket onto the bus to heaven. You were born again into a new life. A life with the almighty God. A life lived in a new reality. A life eternal.
With others in the body of Christ, other believers, you walk in the spirit bringing heaven down to earth for others to see and grab onto.
The enemy uses others and even our own minds to try to trip us up. To tempt us back into death. Back into those things we were into before we found truth.
Listen to the voice of truth. The comfort of the past is not a way to the path of righteousness. Not the way of truth and life eternal.
No longer are we led by what feels good in the flesh. No longer are we driven to put on a mask of happiness. To be what pleases others.
Instead we are led by Love. By the Holy Spirit. By the simple knowledge of who we are in Christ. For He abides in us and we abide in Him. We are His temple, the house of God.
The enemy wants us to believe we have to be trained to do what God wants us to do. Who He wants us to become. Often the enemy uses the church to believe these lies. They set rules about what you have to be in order to pray for others. To teach. To lead others to Jesus.
This may be true for those who are not believers but are just church goers. Going to a church does not make us followers of Jesus. Just doing what we think Jesus would do does not make us born again. Rather it is a way to give a false sense of security. A way to make walking in the flesh appear to be walking with God. It does not bring heaven down to earth.
Signs and wonders follow those walking in the spirit not those faithfully following church doctrine. To walk in the the spirit requires His spirit in us. When we practice His presence in us and He leads our every thought and action, we are truly walking in the spirit.
Father God, thank you that when I asked Jesus into my heart that I got it all. Show me each day the path you have for me to take. The way of truth. Help me to remain in my new reality driven by your Holy Spirit. In Jesus name, I pray.

Proof
The only way to salvation is to step out in faith and believe. There are many that won't take that step because they still have to see the proof. Perhaps the changes in us can become all the proof they need to see. ~ DickEvans.org

Be an Example
In all we do we must remember that we are an example to others. Good or bad, our life speaks volumes to them. May we listen to the words of Jesus and be the example He has set us out to be. ~ DickEvans.org

Step Back
We need to step back and see how others see us. We need to look for the fruit in our lives. Does it line up with the fruit we profess? Then we need to ask Holy Spirit to guide us into all Truth. ~ DickEvans.org

The Gift
It is the Spirit who gives eternal life, not our day to day works, no matter how good they are. And the gift of eternal life is free. ~ DickEvans.org

Listen
It is very easy to be convinced that wrong is right because so many see it that way. We must listen to the Holy Spirit and listen to our brothers and sisters in Christ as they too listen to the Holy Spirit. ~ DickEvans.org

God Time
God time is not a parsed out piece of our life; as a believer it is our life. We may work and do family things in the world, but wherever we are we need to praise Him and look to Holy Spirit to guide us and teach us and use us. ~ DickEvans.org

Why Not
Romans 8:11 NLT
The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.
I am not ready you say. I know Jesus wants me to go into the world and preach the good news but I am not ready.
I have only been saved for a little while, you say. There are many Bible studies I need to attend, many steps I have to take. I can't do what I see my brothers and sisters do as they pray and council. I have to get more knowledge.
Then I hear preached that I must get myself straightened out before I can expect to minister to others. Then I may even need to attend a seminary so I am prepared even before I can expect God to heal me.
This is what I have heard in many churches. It is not truth. The truth is all about Jesus and what He did for us at the cross. I am healed because of His stripes. I am ready to do all He has for me because I am filled with Holy Spirit. I am born again. All the promises of God are yes and amen.
He abides in me and I in him. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is in me. I am righteous in Christ. I am fully equipped to do the work of the ministry and was fully equipped the moment I received Holy Spirit to preach to the lost, cast out demons, heal the sick, and raise the dead.
Why Not step out today and do it? Why not speak to that stranger and tell your story. Your history is His story. You are ready to go. You are ready to lay hands on the sick and see them recover. Why not go for it?

His Words
When Holy Spirit places someone in our path, He expects us to see them saved, healed, and discipled. He expects us to open our mouth and let His words speak to others to teach and to counsel them. ~ DickEvans.org

Good News
The good news is not something to be whispered in closed rooms or only at church on Sunday. The Good News is for us to shout out just like we shout out our excitement about that last ballgame or movie we watched. ~ DickEvans.org

Be Careful
We must be careful that teachings we read or listen to don't pull us away from the Good News. We need to stick to God's Word and listen to His voice letting Holy Spirit teach us and guide is in all that we do. ~ DickEvans.org

Profitable
Often we lean to our own understanding deciding what is from God and what is not based on our feelings. We must rely on Holy Spirit to lead us and not our feelings. It is more profitable to follow His plan and not ours. ~ DickEvans.org

Serendipity
The fruit of our salvation is not the tribulations we go through. That trouble is the serendipity of living this life in the world, a world that is controlled by the prince of this world. The fruit of our salvation is expressed in how we react to what the world system throws up in our face. ~ DickEvans.org

His Plans not Ours
Jeremiah 29:11 NLT
For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Many search for more. They want more Holy Spirit. They want more grace. More mercy. They ask for healing. They ask for God to intervene and do things for them. They want God to fulfill their desires and plans.
Jesus went to the cross for us. He bled and suffered and died to take away our debt with the Father for all the sin we ever did it ever would do.
He died to fulfill the age of law and usher in the age of grace. No longer would we ever be judged for our misdeeds. Jesus fulfilled all the promises. They are all there for us to grab hold and walk in them. His word tells us all the promises are yes and amen.
When we received Jesus as our Lord and savior we received Holy Spirit, were baptized in His fire and we became born again. The evidence that we are filled is our life. It is the fruit of the spirit evident in our daily walk. It is praying in the spirit as Paul did.
As we begin to allow Holy Spirit to guide us daily, we begin to see the work He has before us. His light shines forth as He goes before us.
It is no longer about our plans and our desires. It becomes about God's plans and purpose in our lives. It is about allowing Holy Spirit to demonstrate His love and power through us. Glory be to God.

As God's children we are not to look to others as example of what to do. We are to look to Jesus. He sets the e. ~ DickEvans.org

Allow Him
When we allow Holy Spirit to work in us, we are changed from the inside out. We take on more and more of His nature as we let Him in more and more. Our desires change from pleasing us to pleasing Him. ~ DickEvans.org

Search Engines
In this day an age most of us use search engines on our computers or even on our cell phones.
Microsoft is working hard to get all Windows users to use Edge for a browser. They even nag users during a Windows session to use it. Yet Google Chrome has over 50% on board using theirs.
But whatever browser you like to use it works great. You formulate a question and bingo an answer appears instantly. As you get better at write the query the answers get better; more accurate.
John 14:26 KJV
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
God's word tells us when we believe in Jesus we receive the Holy Spirit and that He will teach us all things.
Holy Spirit is the only search engine we need. And yet most Christians I know head to their computer for answers when all the answers are right in them.
We tend to seek the flesh first and look to God as our backup plan. We were made in His image and yet we lean to our own understanding in most things.
Matthew 6:33 KJV
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Seek Him first and let Him lead you in all you do.

Direction
As God leads us, as the Holy Spirit gives us direction, we are to listen and obey. That is true obedience. If we don't, how can we truly say that He is our Lord? ~ DickEvans.org

Once we have started our lives in the Spirit, we must remain there. We must be willing to listen and obey. We must point our compass in the direction He leads us in. ~ DickEvans.org
