We testify to what God did in our life. We do so as encouragement to others around us, as a way of teaching others that they can minister to others as well. We are testifying to what God is doing not what we are doing. Thank you, Jesus, for showing your Love for others through me. ~ DickEvans.org

Be a Doer
Jesus told us to “Love each other. Just as I have loved you”. Each day as we walk into the world we need to keep those words in the forefront of our mind. We need to be a doer of them with all we come into contact with. There are no groups of people in His eyes; no special favor for selected ones. ~ DickEvans.org

Refelection
If you are happy and loving towards others, then you can expect to receive the same back from most. And when you don’t it is not because of you. It is because they need to learn the same lesson. For love is reflected in love. ~ DickEvans.org

Love
Whether your efforts are seen by others or not, whether you see immediate results or not, your work is not in vain. Work done expressing God’s love always has a return. ~ DickEvans.org

Our Growth
Our growth as a Christian isn't about knowledge. It is about relationship. Our knowledge of His Word grows because of who we are in Him and not which church we attend or what books we read. In church, we celebrate that relationship and give Him all the praise and glory collectively as the Body of Christ. ~ DickEvans.org

The Battle
2 Chronicles 20:15
...For the battle is not yours, but God's.
Why are some seemingly in a constant battle with Satan? Why can't they receive all the cross affords them? They seem more focused on satan than on their relationship with Jesus. They are seeing satan's presence in everything instead of practicing the presence of Jesus in their lives.
Are they opening doors for Satan to send his demons through to bring temptation, deceive, and raise havoc in their lives? Each time we sin we are making a place for him to march through.
Sin is like a magnet to demonic activity. As we walk away from the presence of God in our lives the enemy is drawn to us. It is up to us to renounce these attacks and get into the right relationship the cross allows us to have.
If we are walking with Jesus, living in Christ, satan cannot come against us because He who is in us is stronger. We are not to be battling satan. In Christ, there is no battle, for the battle is His and not ours.

Reflection
God knows everything, even about us. But in this earthly realm, we only see what our human eyes reveal. We think we know all but our view is like looking into one of those wacky amusement park mirrors. The reflection is just not true. As our relationship with Him increases, the reflection clears little by little. ~ DickEvans.org

The Body
Without all the members of the body working and working together, the body does not function as a complete and whole body. We are all equal in Christ and we all need each other. ~ DickEvans.org

Our Walk
We need to examine our walk and make sure it meets up with our talk. We need to listen to what the Father tells us to do and do it. ~ DickEvans.org

Free
We are free, but we are also Christians put on this earth with a purpose. We are to bring the message of Christ to the world. Do our choices lead us down that path or down our own paths? ~ DickEvans.org

The Message
It is never about bringing people to our way of life in this world. It is about bringing the message of Jesus to people in their life, in their world. We are the messenger. If they are ready to hear the message, they will. God will do the rest. ~ DickEvans.org

A New Creature
2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
We are not who we were. We are born again. We cannot sin because we are in Christ. That is the reality of our salvation. The dead man. Who we were is not in our new reality. In that reality, we are subject to all the old feelings and past choices.
Christ wants us to remain in Him. It is where we have freedom. Where we only see Jesus and His kingdom. And yet we dabble in the old reality every day. Sometimes our entire day is spent there. We try to solve everything by ourselves leaning to our own understanding.
We take credit for all the good that happens and blame the devil or someone else when our choices cause conflict or problems for us. It seems that we often only look to our new reality when we can't do it on our own. When all else fails, we remember who we are in Christ and step into that reality.
If only we could convince our self to stay there. When we practice His presence and walk out in the new reality all goes according to God's plan. The defeated Satan no longer has any effect on us.
Father God help me to stay in this new reality. To walk out as the born again believer I confess to be. To spend my days in Christ. In Jesus name, I pray.

Excitement
When God first called us, when we first received Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior there was nothing we would not do to tell the world what just happened. We need to learn as He teaches us in every situation we get into, but never allow that initial excitement we had to go away. We need to keep telling others the good news we found. ~ DickEvans.org

Choices
Being a Christian does not take away our right to choose or desires of the past. We must be open to counsel from others that are walking the same walk as we are. Not everything is good for us even though we can choose to do it. We must be willing to let the Word of God guide us in our choices each day. ~ DickEvans.org

Guarantee
What others may think of us may be important from a worldly perspective, but it matters little when it comes to our relationship with God. And we could be the nicest person in town, but not have a relationship with the Lord. The Holy Spirit is our guarantee.. ~ DickEvans.org

Fill Our Mouths
Knowing, loving and following God is not a complex task. Telling others about Him does not have to be complex either. As the Father leads we just have to open our mouths and let the Holy Spirit fill them with the words to be said. ~ DickEvans.org

Ears to Hear
Those who are not ready to receive will not receive. They will fight your logic, your cunning words, your schemes to get them in. When they have been made ready by God himself, they will hear the message with different ears. Stop being concerned when someone rejects the message about Jesus you have for them. Dust off your feet and move on to the next. For it is our mission to spread the news to those who have ears to hear. ~ DickEvans.org

Happiness
Our happiness must happen within. We must be happy with ourselves and for that to happen we must have the peace of Christ. As believers, we have the Holy Spirit inside of us to comfort and guide us each day. With Him in our lives, we can do anything for He gives us the strength we need when we need it. ~ DickEvans.org

God is Not Disappointed
Hebrews 4:16 NLT
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
Thank you, Father God for your mercy and grace. For your unmerited favor in our lives. For your unconditional love.
My dog is a faithful companion. She has been with me for over fifteen years. She loves me unconditionally. When I leave her too long or forget to feed her on time it does not change her love for me. Even when I have to go away for days and leave her with someone else, she does not waver in her love for me. I am never a disappointment to her.
We tend to watch what we do and say because we do not want to disappoint God. Because of His grace, we cannot disappoint Him. He no longer sees our transgressions. He views us through His son, Jesus.
We try our best to be who we Want Him to see us as. And because we are born again the things of our past no longer become a desire for us to do. If we fall to temptation it does not remove His love or grace from us.
Daily, Holy Spirit is helping us become more and more Christ like in our thoughts, our words, and our actions. Helping us to put temptation out and stay focused on Him.
As we grow in Christ our desires for the old ways lessen as we become more like Him in our thoughts and actions.
Help me to grow closer to You Lord. Mold me into the example of Jesus you have for me to become. Help me stay focused on you in all I do. Thank You for never seeing me as a disappointment to you. In Jesus name. Amen.

Are we willing?
Are we willing to sacrifice an extra thirty minutes of sleep so we can get up early and spend time with Him? Are we willing to make time at lunch to go off by our self and get immersed in His Word? Are we willing to wrap our chilling out time in the evening around time in His Word and discussing it with the others in our family? Are we willing to spend that last fifteen minutes with Him in prayer instead of listening to the news on television? Are we willing? ~ DickEvans.org

Grow in Christ
Getting that new person under a good teacher does water the seed that was planted. But they don't grow in Christ because of what someone teaches. No, they grow because of their relationship with Him. As that grows, they grow. Holy Spirit changes us from the inside out. ~ DickEvans.org

Ask
We have a wealth of the world's information at our fingertips with the Internet. A Google search seems to always find something related to the subject matter we are searching for. The key to a successful search is in knowing what to enter as the search words. But it does not just happen. You have to ask. So why do we expect God to answer us when we do not ask? ~ DickEvans.org

Reach Out
We have the source of all knowledge standing by, ready to jump in and assist us. Yet do we allow Him? God does not want us to go through our days alone. And all we have to do is turn to Him. He is always available. Isn't it time to reach out for Him? ~ DickEvans.org

Charged
When we are unsaved we are like a battery. We have the potential. We are a child of God, a child that is predestined for a purpose. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we find the charger but have not learned how to use it yet. Our potential is still untapped. As we plug into Him and allow the Holy Spirit to work in us we develop our relationship with Him, our battery becomes charged. ~ DickEvans.org

Selective Listening
We must be careful not to let others mislead us and pull us off the track God has for us. The more we ignore Him, the more often we will reap the wrong harvest. So let’s refine our listening and stop selective listening so that we hear all that He has for us. ~ DickEvans.org

Get Rid of Sin
Romans 7:18-19
For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do-this I keep on doing.
One day we called on Jesus name and asked for His forgiveness and to have Him come into our heart and save us. We are born again believers in Jesus Christ.
We cannot get rid of sin. But the Lord will help us get through it.
Sin is the result of giving in to Satan and his path which is designed to take us away from the path God has for us.
Jesus died not to take us away from sin. He died so we could be free from the penalty of sin. We are free forever. We are forgiven forevermore.
As believers who have Holy Spirit in us, we have no desire to sin anymore. And yet there we find ourselves, day after day. We know what we should do but we don't.
Thank you, Jesus, for forever forgiving us. For there is no longer a penalty when we miss it. All we need to do is realize what we did and put our gaze back on Jesus. Put ourselves back on the path He has for us.
He saved us not to get rid of sin. He saved us from the penalty of sin. Thank you, Jesus.

Changed
As believers, we should be changing and others should notice the difference in our lives. We aren’t a better believer because of the number of seminars we attend or the number of books we read. It not about what we know but who we know. As our relationship with God grows and we allow Holy Spirit to change us, we are changed into new and different people. ~ DickEvan.org

Influence
Sometimes in our efforts to reach out to serve others we can put our self in a dangerous place. We may position ourselves in a place that makes it easy for satan to tempt us right back into the sin that we thought we had dealt with. I believe if we cannot be a stronger influence on someone else than they are to us, we should keep our distance from them so we don't to fall into that same temptation again. ~ DickEvans.org
