Walk in Faith

God will accomplish more than we would ever dare to ask or hope through us, if we just walk forth in faith and let Him. ~ DickEvans.org

Authority

As believers we have the authority to lay hands on the sick and see them recover. We have the authority to speak to evil spirits and they must obey. This is not because of who we are but of who is in us. ~ DickEvans.org

Guide Us

The Lord has much for us to do and as we walk forth with the Holy Spirit guiding us completing the tasks before us, our lives are filled with peace and joy. In Him we live a life filled with goodness. ~ DickEvans.org

Impressions

Others will judge us knowing that we are believers. If we listen to the Father as we follow Jesus and do as He commands, the impressions we make will change the world. ~ DickEvans.org

Repentance

Hebrews 8:12 NLT

And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins. When God speaks of a "new" covenant, it means he has made the first one obsolete. It is now out of date and will soon disappear.

Repentance is not changing our ways by purposely finding a way to remove the sin from our lives. We can't fix us or anybody else. That was old covenant. We had to ask God's forgiveness and change our ways. 

New covenant repentance is about turning from our sin and focusing on Jesus. It is about being Jesus conscious not sin conscious. We are to turn from our old ways and see who we are in Christ. Focus on Him and not on the realized sin. 

Psalm 103:12 NLT
He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.

God remembers our sin no more. He forgave us all our past sin, all our current sin, all our future sin. He remembers none of it. He tells us our trespasses are as far away as the east is from the west.

We must forgive ourselves and turn to who we are in Christ. The more we stay in Christ the less opportunity we have to fall into the temptations of the enemy and fall into sin

Be Christ conscious not sin conscious. Live in the new covenant thankful for all Jesus did at the cross.

The System

How easy it is to let everyone else take care of those that are in need. We must be careful that the system does not corrupt us. We must remember what God expects of us and that is to extend our helping hand in love. ~ DickEvans.org

Be that Person

We all know someone that brings confusion everywhere they turn. Others come into a room and love surrounds them; you can feel it. Be that person. ~ DickEvans.org

Simply Do

God wants us follow Jesus and He simply did as the Father commanded. We need to be more like Him. ~ DickEvans.org

See Jesus

It is up to us to let the world see Jesus through us instead of seeing that old self they dealt with in the past. As we show tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience they get to see Him. ~ DickEvans.org

Decison

The desire to obey Him comes from God, but the decision to do so is ours alone. When we make the decision, He releases us with the power to make it so. ~ DickEvans.org

Greatest Choice

We make choices every day as we live our lives. The greatest choice is the choice to accept salvation; the choice to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. ~ DickEvans.org

A Journey Into the Invisible

1 John 3:24 NLT
Those who obey God's commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.

Are we on a journey of our own making or are we on the journey with He who is in us? He is always with us. Are we looking to Him or to our own journey? Are we too busy to allow Him in?

Our inheritance is waiting for us to take. Are like a person with a million dollars in an account are not taking advantage of it?

Step into the inheritance Christ has for you. He went to the cross for you and removed your sin debt so you could have your inheritance. Dip into that inheritance and allow Holy Spirit to use you.

Invest your inheritance in others. Share the good news and disciple those who receive Jesus. He will no longer be invisible as you practice His presence in your life daily.

He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion. Our journey is seeing He who is invisible in our daily walk in others. Allow Him to take us through the circumstances of life.

We do not see Him but we see Him. He abides in us. We abide in Him. You know that you know that you know. Live it.

Sorrow

God does not cause sorrow. True salvation is followed by repentance and relationship. Then our sorrow is turned into eternal joy. ~ DickEvans.org

Follow Him

Our spiritual strength comes from God, from His special favor. Him. We need to seek what He has for us in His Word. We need to follow Jesus and not those that follow Him. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Light. ~ DickEvans.org

No Longer

As believers we have been given new life. No longer do we have to search the old libraries of life bound by the old laws, living under judgment. Thank you, Lord for your mercy and grace. ~ DickEvans.org

Our Nature

As believers we are no longer of this world but our nature many not have caught up with our belief. That will happen as we allow God transform us into His image; as we take on more of His nature. ~ DickEvans.org

Know Him

We can read our Bible to learn about Jesus. We can get books others have written and even study old manuscripts from the times that Jesus was on this earth to find out more about Him. But that helps us to know about Him. It does not mean that we know Him. ~ DickEvans.org 

Be Encouraged

Be encouraged by other believers as you develop your personal relationship with God and let Him transform you into the new person He designed you to become. ~ DickEvans.org

Different Programming

We all come from different religious backgrounds and we've all been programmed. And then we became born again. But instead of throwing out the old program and rebooting with a whole new program created when Jesus went to the cross we mix the two. He went to the cross and took all our sins, all our old programming, all our diseases, all our sicknesses, and all curses from all of us for time forever.

We got a new start. We do not need to hang onto the old programs. Christianity is not about patching or updating old programming. It is about claiming the new program. It is about walking forward as a new man with the DNA of Jesus.

His time on the cross gave us complete freedom. Freedom from all old programming; all religious programming. We are righteous in Christ. We find ourselves immersed in the grace of God. When God looks at us He only sees His son, Jesus.

It is about time we understood this and walked it out daily. Jesus defeated satan. The enemy has been placed beneath our feet. It is time to stop giving him credit for the challenges in our lives as if we have no choice but to live under his bondage. It is time to go, preach the good news, disciple those that believe, and lay hands on the sick seeing them recover

We are no longer under the age of law. We are living in the age of grace. Jesus came to fulfill the law. He ushered in the age of grace. If we continue to practice the traditions and laws of the last age are we not discounting the cross?

Jesus did not come so that we would continue in old traditions and in the ways of those looking to Father God for his approval. Under grace, God only sees us through the love He has for his only Son. We are in Jesus and He is in us. We should stop living on both sides of the street. We can't one day boot into the old programming and then the next day boot into the new programming. We have to give up the old and walk in the new.

He Teaches Us

So as we move ahead in our transformation walk, Holy Spirit teaches us more each day. The more we absorb, the more we change. When He is in our lives daily, we are no longer slaves to sin. ~ DickEvans.org

His Strength

God is right with us in every situation that life throws at us. He gives us the strength to press on and make it to the end. He teaches us through all of our experiences. ~ DickEvans.org

Opportunity

Out of every tribulation springs opportunity. Praise God for the trials He has pulled us through and for helping us to into the people we are today. ~ DickEvans.org

Trials

Some think that because they have been saved and crossed over from heathen to Christian that the trials are over. They are not. However, Jesus is with us as we walk through, guiding us and encouraging us all the way. ~ DickEvans.org

Press On

Like we continue to press on with our own children, even when they seem not to hear, we must press on with God’s children. When their hearts are ready, they will stand in awe of His mighty presence. They will see Christ for who He really is and not what the world has made Him out to be. ~ DickEvans.org

Direction

God’s standard is what we need to live by. It is His character we want to emulate, not societies. We need to turn to Holy Spirit for direction in all that we do. ~ DickEvans.org

We are Not the Same

1 Peter 4:1-11 NKJV
Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

We seek after the mind of Christ; to no longer think as we once thought. We no longer desire the things of the flesh. We want to do the will of the Father; to see where He is working and to go there.

For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles-when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries.

The only time we should entertain thoughts of what we used to be involved in is as we thank the Father for our freedom and as we testify to what the Lord has done for us.

In regard to these, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of you.

Our old friends do not understand. We look the same but we all of a sudden became different. We are a new creature alien to the ways of our past.

They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. For this reason the gospel was preached also to those who are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

The unsaved will be judged for all their deeds. The saved will enter into glory praised for who they are in Christ.

But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins".

Love all of God's children; the saved and the unsaved. Without love how will the later ever get to know Jesus?

Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Just because we are born again we are not all the same. We each are unique in Christ. Together we make up the body of Christ. We need each other in our walk. In Christ there are no lone rangers.

If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

We are to be the best we can be and always give all praise to Jesus. Go forth hand in hand with other believers doing the work the Father has begun. That is how we glorify the Father.

Prayer

I believe prayer is not just saying a memorized bunch of words over and over again. No, it is about having a relationship with Jesus; about speaking to Him. It is about staying alert to His voice and being thankful to Him each day. ~ DickEvans.org

The Task

God loves all His children and wants to see many more saved. That is our task; to reach the lost and present the Gospel message to them. Let’s do our part today. ~ DickEvans.org

Step Out

As Spirit filled believers we have been given authority and power. It does not come from what we know but from when we go. The power comes as we step out and obey the Holy Spirit; as we do what He asks of us. ~ DickEvans.org

Lining Up

There is only one truth and Holy Spirit leads us right to it. Jesus tells us “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” If the words we hear are not lining up with His words, with the Word of God, then we must close our ears and move on. ~ DickEvans.org

Joy

Real joy can only come from the Lord. Anything else is but a temporary fix dreamed up with human thought. As our relationship with Him builds, so builds our joy. ~ DickEvans.org
