The Lord is close by, all the time. He is omnipresent. He awaits our call. If we reach out and call on Him sincerely, He will respond. How do I know that? I know that because He tells us so. ~ DickEvans.org

No Condemnation
So nobody can throw those old sins back in our face because we are a new person in Christ. We can no longer be condemned for who we used to be and what we used to do. Or for our current or future transgressions. ~ DickEvans.org

Pursue Christ
It is in Christ that true happiness is found. This does not mean that you cannot have money to enjoy the things of this world if you have Him in your life. No, it means that you will no longer be pursuing money. And in your pursuit of Him, you will find your reward. ~ DickEvans.org

It Is Done
John 19:28-30 NKJV
After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst!" Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
It is not about what God is going to do for us. He has already done it. Jesus' last word before He gave up His spirit on the cross were "It is finished". All He came to earth to do was finished. It was done.
Father God sent his son to earth to walk as man. To be the one to bring reconciliation between man and Father God. To die on a cross to redeem all of mankind. To remove anything that had come between mankind and the Father .
Jesus took it all on him. No longer do we beg God to do for us. It has already happened. We need to get our head straight and thank Him.
Thank Him for the healing he gave us at the cross. Thank Him for forever forgiving us. For never remembering our sin. Thank Him for his grace. Thank Him for his favor on our life. Thank Holy Spirit for being in us to comfort us. To guide us. To teach us.
It is time for us to stop being sin conscious and become grace conscious. It is time to walk away from our past into the destiny the Father has for us.

Love Unstoppable
Romans 5:8 AMP
But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
How often are we hurt by someone else's actions or words? We don't like confrontation yet we feel we have to say something or do something.
Let's look at the example of our Father in heaven. His grace, His unmerited favor, is upon us and He loves us unconditionally. He sent His son to the cross so we could be forgiven forevermore.
And yet how many years went by with us ignoring Him? With us doing our own thing so we would feel good. It was all about us.
Did our actions hurt God? Perhaps, but He didn't retaliate. His mercies are new every morning. We are in the age of grace. He has already forgiven us for doing things we should not do as believers walking as Christ.
So what about that person that hasn't called in year's? What about that person that always has something to say about us behind our back? What about that person always trying to trip us up? Do we react as the person we used to be? Or do we react like our Father God does with us? His love is unconditional, unstoppable.
Jesus abides in us and we abide in Him so we have that same amount of love in us. So if things come against us we should be telling those un-godly feelings to be quiet and instead speak with love, always encouraging, always uplifting no matter what the circumstances.
Thank you Jesus for giving me the means to love others with the same unconditional love that you have for me.

Reach Out
As we step out in faith, God shows up. He gives us the words to say and as we reach out in faith, He confirms the words out of our mouth with many miraculous signs. No experience is necessary. Believe it and reach out today. ~ DickEvans.org

Wordly Ways
Romans 12:2
And do not be fashioned according to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and well pleasing and perfect.
Isn't it time to leave our worldly ways and listen? As we listen to Holy Spirit we grow into the perfection He has for us as we walk out our transformation walk, this metamorphosis from who we were to who we have become in Christ.
We are running so fast in our earthly life it is like we are running from Holy Spirit. Oh we know He is with us. We just don't stop to listen to what He has to say.
It is like we have Him on the back burner waiting to be used when all else fails. He is our fail safe. Our backup.
We use all that we know to handle everything and it is wearing us down. We try to do it all but it is like the person spinning multiple plates. It is hard to keep everything going at the same time. It is overwhelming.
Why do we do it? Why do we insist that we have to do it all? We try to control every facet of our life and even the life of others in our family It is not our job.
As we let go and let God we find so much more. As we practice His presence in our life the stress leaves, solutions unfold, relationships are renewed.
Help us Lord to put aside our stuff and give it all to You. Help us to allow you to be at the forefront of our life every moment of every day. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Make it So
Mark 7:30
And when she arrived home, her little girl was lying quietly in bed, and the demon was gone. (NLT)
With God there is no such thing as time and space. In this world of ours it is easy to forget that fact. In this example from Mark 7, Jesus did not go to the house of that little girl. No, He simply "made it so" right from where He was. She asked and He healed her. ~ DickEvans.org

Listening
Matthew 13:16 NKJV
But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear;
We're all listening to someone. Everywhere we turn our ears of tuned into something.
As a matter of fact most of us spend most of the day listening. We have no idea what being quiet means. We listen to tunes or talk shows in our vehicles. We have the news on most of the day. Or at night time we watch TV show after TV show.
Even when we attend a church service it is all about listening to what is happening; the worship music, the announcements, the sermon, and the chit chat with those hanging around after service.
Most of us have no idea how to handle quiet. We look for things to come in through our ears and our eyes to occupy us. And yet our father God is looking for us to worship him and be thankful in all circumstances.
Holy spirit is trying to talk to us and yet we are listening elsewhere. He puts things in front of us for us to see and we are focused on a computer screen or the game on television. It is all about me. It is all about doing things that satisfy me. It is all about what makes me happy in this earthly realm.
True happiness is not possible until we walk in the spirit, truly in tune with Holy spirit within.
The enemy very much loves to drag us back into who we used to be. But that person is dead. We are alive in Christ. Our spirit, the second we believed went to heaven and was born again. We are no longer that old person. We are in Christ and He is in us.
Our true life is in him. We need to reprogram our old self to listen to the Holy Spirit instead of the unholy news and things around us in the natural.
It is when we truly know who we are in Christ and walk out in that knowledge sharing it with the world that we grow in our relationship with him.
We are all listening but who are we listening to?
Father God thank you for sending Jesus to die for me so that I could have everlasting life. Show me the way to keep my ears and eyes on You and not on the things of the world. In Jesus name. Amen.

Living It
Preach the word does not have to mean that we are walking around with our Bible in our hands reading out loud. Jesus did not do that. Neither did the Apostles. It is not about reading the word, it is about living the word. ~ DickEvans.org

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2018
Colossians 1:9
So we have continued praying for you ever since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you a complete understanding of what he wants to do in your lives, and we ask him to make you wise with spiritual wisdom. (NLT)
It is the beginning of a new year. Many of us take this day to plan for the next twelve months, to set goals and make resolutions as to what we are changing in our lives to be a better person and be able to reach those goals. We take the time to consider what we are doing that is lined up with God’s principles as well as what will propel us towards our own aspirations.
We make changing us a priority and set out to do it in the best way we know how. As usual, we lean to our own understanding instead of looking to Him. From a worldly perspective this is a good thing. However, from His perspective, we have it all backwards.
As the scripture points out to us, the key is not what we want to do in our lives. No, the key is what God wants to do in our lives. We should be dead to our own self interests and alive in Christ. We need to pray for a complete understanding of what He wants to do in our life. We need to ask Him to make us wise with spiritual wisdom.
