Let Him Work

Never Stop

By His Grace

Let Me Be Me

John 14:26 NLT
But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative--that is, the Holy Spirit--he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. 

Too often we are reactive to situations in life instead of responsive. We look for an answer instead of knowing the answer. Instead of relying on He who is in us who teaches us all things.

We use the go-to books or Google. You know what I mean. When sick read these scriptures. When feeling depressed read these.

As we practice His presence in our daily dealings Holy Spirit will be there with the right words. He will help us love others in their times of need. And he will be there for us in ours.

Thank you, Jesus, for saving me. Thank you for filling me with the Holy Spirit. Thank you for never leaving me. Thank You for teaching me all things. Thank you for letting me be the me you made me to be.

Focus

If our focus was truly on God then we would be praying without ceasing and getting to know Him more each day. But our focus tends to be on us. The goal is to not only know His nature but to have His nature. ~ DickEvans.org

Listen And Obey

As believers filled with the Holy Spirit, we have a desire within us to obey His voice. As we listen and obey, He works through us with the same power that raised Jesus from the dead to fulfill His purpose. ~ DickEvans.org

Live in Obediance

Living in obedience to God is not about our living up to all the law found in the Old Testament of the Bible. But as God leads us, as Holy Spirit gives us direction, we are to listen and obey. That is true obedience. If we don't, how can we truly say that He is our Lord? ~ DickEvans.org

Be Willing

Don't avoid the Holy Spirit because you don't want your plans messed up. Once we have started our lives in the Spirit, we must remain there. We must be willing to listen and obey. We must point our compass in the direction He leads us in. ~ DickEvans.org

Our Purpose

As believers, our purpose is far more than we can imagine based on our worldly standards. God will accomplish more than we would ever dare to ask or hope through us, if we just walk forth in faith and let Him. ~ DickEvans.org

Transform Us

By choice we must turn from the world’s evil ways and let God transform us into His image. We must choose to want the mind of Christ. As we do we truly can be a new person in the world and no longer the old person that was of the world. ~ DickEvans.org

Holy Spirit Lead Me

John 10:10 ASV
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Following the path Holy Spirit has you on brings health and happiness. This is the abundant life Jesus promises.

Galations 5:16 NIV
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

The Word tells us to walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh. But we sin. As we sin we take our eyes off of Jesus. As we do it does not have any effect on our salvation but it is not profitable in this earthly life.

1 Corinthians 6:12 NLT
You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything.

There are consequences here on earth for our transgressions. We open a pathway for the enemy to fill us with lies, deception, confusion and more. He replaces our joy with junk!

Oh if we could just stay in the spirit and not be bothered with the junk. This requires the mind of Christ. Each time we recognize ours sin we get a little more of His thinking as we refocus on Him.

We have to live in this world until our time has come to be with God. It our choices that bring us closer to Him in our thinking and in our actions.

Father God, help me each day to listen to Holy Spirit and to go the way He leads. Help me to have more of the mind of Christ with every step I take. In Jesus name.

Our Future

We already know the end result. We are believers and therefore our salvation is secure. What lies ahead is a deeper relationship with God. That is what we have to look forward to. It is in that deeper relationship that our future here on earth lies. ~ DickEvans.org

Choose His Way

At the Cross, Jesus took all our sins on Him. It is up to us to not make a practice of sinning. It is up to us to choose His way and not the evil way. We must listen to Holy Spirit as He guides us knowing that Christ holds us securely so satan can have no hold on us. ~ DickEvans.org

Choose

Daily we have to choose what we allow in and what we keep out. We choose how we react to others. We choose to care about others whether or not we feel any affection towards them. When we reach out in Love; God is right there to help us express His Love. ~ DickEvans.org

Potential

God called us all, good and bad. He looked past the imperfections that were so obvious to others. He knew us beyond them. He saw the potential He put in us and considered us trustworthy. He appointed each of us to serve Him. ~ DickEvans.org

Guidance

The fact is we live in this world and are tempted daily to be of this world. We need Holy Spirit’s guidance in each and every step we take. We must make right choices all day, every day. Our relationship with Him must be 24/7 and not just 2 hours or less on Sunday. ~ DickEvans.org

Let God

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:6-7)

Emptiness Goes

Let God Speak

We need to be quiet so we can receive what God has for us to get. We need to let Him speak. He is the source of all knowledge. Let's make our time with God two way so we too can develop a strong relationship with Him. ~ DickEvans.org

Status

Our status in society has nothing to do with our relationship with God. We all have an equal opportunity to have the same relationship with Him. He awaits it expectantly. It is up to us to initiate and pursue it and even that takes humility on our part. ~ DickEvans.org

Find Them

Each and every one of God's children are important. Each and every one deserves all His attention and ours, as He leads us. We are to pay attention to the needs of all and have compassion on them. If one is lost, we need to find them and care of them. ~ DickEvans.org

Be An Example

It is good to be excited for our new brother or sister in Christ; the new believer. What we need to be is an example to them of His love, and welcome them on His behalf. ~ DickEvans.org

Our Authority

Luke 9:1 AMP
Then Jesus called together the Twelve [apostles] and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases,

Authority is not given because of who we are in the world. We may have worldly authority over others in a work or even play environments like sports or hobbies.

We may even have authority over others in a church. But this is the same as work or play. It is worldly even if centered around church.

The authority we have in Christ is over the enemy and his demons. We have the authority in Christ in the spirit. And the power to back it up!

Believe it. Receive it!

A Good Example

We should be a good example for others to follow in all that we do. It is time to stop separating our church activities and the world around us. We live in the world and they should see the believer in us. We are not to have a dark side in the world and be a light only at church. ~ DickEvans.org

God, the great I Am, made the heavens and earth and populated it with lush gardens and all kinds of animals and others living things. He was the Godhead and nothing was above Him.

He was well pleased and brought forth man and gave him a woman to be his helpmate.

All was good and God was pleased. Man lived and trusted God and He gave them free will. He made a covenant with them that would last centuries.

Then came Satan disguised as a serpent. The young couple made a bad choice. They were deceived by the enemy and God was not pleased.

Mankind was filled for years with bad choices. A world of decadence created strange creatures only interested in their own selves. Except for one and he began to build a large boat at God’s instructions.

God wiped out all of mankind with a flood of the entire world. Noah and his family was saved along with two of every living creature. Mankind got another chance.

Mankind continued to make poor choices following their own desires fueled by the enemy. God choose a small group of believers and through miraculous events brought them out of bondage.

He spoke to their leader and gave him Ten Commandments to follow so they would know when they displeased God. He showed His love for them by providing food and water for them for forty years.

He brought them to the promised land and watched. They made even more laws. This was good but they had problems following them. They continued to sin. They continued to be deceived by the enemy by listening to him instead of following the law.

God sent word through prophets and came upon people from time to time to heal them. He sent angels to speak to his people. He told them His plans to send a savior to free them from this bondage to satan’s bidding. They did not listen.

This was to be the end of God’s wrath on mankind. Wrath was not the answer, love was.

The Godhead revealed its three persons. The Son was sent to earth born of a human woman. This Son was called Jesus and He was the only human ever to be capable of following all of the law and not be able to be deceived by the enemy.

Jesus laid the groundwork for the future of mankind. From that one man twelve were disciples who would become the foundation for the future of mankind.

When it was His time, the Son was crucified taking upon himself all the sins and lawless deeds of all mankind forevermore. The entire debt, the penalty for sin was paid. And Jesus said “It is finished”.

No longer did the Father have to see the wrong doings of mankind. He had forgiven them all for evermore. He sees our sins no more. They are as far from Him as the east is from the west.

He made a new covenant with mankind. He would love them and shower them with his mercy and grace forever. No longer a God to be feared. His love is unmerited and unconditional. God is love.

To those who believe, God sent the third person of the Godhead—Holy Spirit. His spirit is resident in every born again believer; at one with the believers spirit.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are alive and well. The Father loves all mankind. No longer does His wrath fall because He no longer sees their sin.

The Son and the Spirit guide and teach each believer. They intercede for each believer as they go about their lives and learn to be close to them.

Thank you Jesus for all you have done and continue to do for all mankind. Help us to take that risk and step out using the authority and power, His authority and power within us. Help us to use the Faith of Jesus that is in us.

Step Out

Jesus told believers to go about our Father's business, just as He did when He walked this earth. We are to listen for His voice and feel the nudging of the Holy Spirit. When we step out in little faith acting on His words, we will accomplish even greater works. ~ DickEvans.org

Wisdom

God's Word is filled with wisdom waiting for us to put into practice in our daily lives. But even with all the wisdom we can handle, we need good judgment and discernment. If we cannot tell right from wrong or good from evil in a situation, what good is our wisdom? ~ DickEvans.org

Magnet

We are all born into this world with a compass that points to Jesus. But the pull of evil is so strong in the world that we forget it is there. And yet, we all need Him. So don't wait . Go out into the world, into the marketplace, and let His love shine out. Be that magnet that causes their compass to point to God. ~ DickEvans.org

Infiltrate

I believe we are called to infiltrate the dark places of this world; we are on a covert mission to seek out those that God is ready to touch. We are to let His light shine through us. ~ DickEvans.org
