These Signs Follow

Mark 16:17-18 NKJV
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.

Some and maybe most Christians believe they are not called to heal the sick but to pray for God to heal. They pay more attention to the scripture that says if you are sick you should go to the elders and have them anoint you with oil and pray for healing.

Don’t take this the wrong way. We are to pray for the sick as we intercede for others on their behalf. We are also to confront them one on one and heal them.

Many either do not understand that the great commission is for today or believe that only a few are called to command healing in others. And yet many of those believe Holy Spirit is in them.

The Father is not a respecter of persons. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow for all His children. He does not give a gift to one and not another. However, we not only must believe the gift is ours. We must receive it unconditionally.

When He said “they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover”, He meant all who believe. And it does not say to create a flowery construct of words and biblical verses to pray over them. It simply says to lay hands on them.

Jesus did it all at the cross. Sickness was taken care of. All curses were taken care of. Infirmity in any form was taken care of.

Our mandate is to use the authority and power we have been given; the power of Holy Spirit in us. We are to command those things that should not be, to be gone.

Step into the miraculous realm today.

Go out into the world knowing you are that believer. You are the one anointed to touch others expecting healing to occur. Release the power of Jesus into their lives and miracles will occur.
