Proclaim It

Isn’t it time to do as Jesus commissioned us? Let’s proclaim the good news that He saves, heals and delivers. And let us proclaim His glorious deeds among the nations. Let’s tell everyone about the amazing things He does. ~ DickEvans.org

Qualified

God takes us right where we are. We all have the same call; the call to reach the lost and share the Gospel. It is the cross of Christ alone that saves. As we walk out in that call, no matter how new we are to our walk, He qualifies us for the task at hand. As we yield to that inner voice we begin to go and grow. It all happens one day at a time. ~ DickEvans.org

Responsible

We must consciously reject that which we know to be unacceptable to the Holy Spirit. We are all at a different place in our walk, yet we each are responsible only for our own actions. ~ DickEvans.org

Spirit Language

Each day we are pulled this way and that. I pray in my spirit language a lot and that helps me in ways even I do not understand. Our spirit man gets to dialog directly with God the Father. In the background, changes are occurring that make us more and more Christ-like. ~ DickEvans.org

He Imputes Righteousness

Romans 4:6
just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:

The dictionary defines the word impute as: ascribe (righteousness, guilt, etc.) to someone by virtue of a similar quality in another. “Christ's righteousness has been imputed to us"

Because of Jesus’ finished work, God does not impute sin to us. What He does impute to us is righteousness apart from works.

Proverbs 10:6
Blessings are on the head of the righteous, But violence covers the mouth of the wicked.

And because you are righteous, get ready for His blessings!

Obey

As believers, we have the Holy Spirit within. As our relationship with Him builds, the communication between Him and us increases. Then that still small voice is much more than built-in programming, it is God Himself directing our every step – if only we would listen and obey. ~ DickEvans.org

Heathen Lifestyle

We must be careful who and what we allow to influence us. Because someone goes to church on Sunday does not make them a person that is walking on the right side of the street every day. There are many that call themselves Christian that are leading a heathen lifestyle. ~ DickEvans.org

New Man

When we run across someone who knew us long ago, and we do from time to time, they are amazed at the change in us. They meet us expecting the same old person, but that old man is dead. A new man has arisen to take his place. ~ DickEvans.org

Purpose

My purpose in life is being worked out in me as I go on from day to day. The central purpose is easy. It is the commission He has given us all; to share the gospel in all the earth but how I am called to do that seems to evolve as the years move on. It is a never-ending story that is being written and rewritten daily ~ DickEvans.org

In His Power

Ephesians 6:10 does not say to be strong because of His power. It says to be strong with His power that is within. Jesus said we would do greater things than He had done and that happens when we are strong with His power. ~ DickEvans.org

Represent Christ

As Christians, we are being observed in all we do. Others judge Christianity on our behavior. We represent Christ to them. We must be careful to always represent Him in our words and in our actions. ~ DickEvans.org

Blameless

When we trust in Jesus our sins are taken away as far as the east is from the west. No matter how bad our sins have been, no matter what family or race or country we come from. It does not matter. Each of us comes from sin and each starts our Christian walk blameless in His sight. ~ DickEvans.org

A Good Person

John‬ ‭3:2-3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him." Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Being born again does not equal being good. And being good does not make you born again.

We accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and follow Him forever. Our spirit is transported instantly heavenward and merged with the spirit of Christ and then sent back to us. Our spirit and Holy Spirit are one; a unique combination. We are saved.

This is the first salvation. The kingdom of God is within. Heaven is here on earth.

To this world we are aliens. Our old man is dead. We are no longer who we were and the enemy works hard to keep our thinking back where it was before our salvation.

Who are we to believe, our old thoughts or the word of God in our spirit? As a new person in Christ, we must stop walking in the flesh and walk in the spirit.

In the spirit, we are pure goodness. In the flesh, we are on a transformation walk to be gooder and gooder.

Just because we are saved does not mean we walk out in pure goodness. The enemy consistently finds ways to bring our thinking back to who we were and that may not have been all good.

Just because we see goodness in someone else does not mean they are saved. Their upbringing may have been good. They may have had godly examples in their life. Reach out to them and tell them your story. The story of Jesus.

Let's listen to that voice inside. Let's listen to Holy Spirit guiding us, teaching us. Let's walkout in who we are in Christ and not who we used to be in this earthly realm.

Treasure

How often are we so concerned with getting all this stuff that we even reduce our offering to God? How often are we guilty of carrying off our treasure to pagan temples? ~ DickEvans.org

Walk the Talk

What the Apostle Paul taught, what he said, and how he lived were all examples to live by. I believe this is where God wants to see us. Is how we live an example of Christ in the world in which we live? Do we live the life we talk? ~ DickEvans.org

His Nature

Christ is in us and as we walk forth how we come across to others reflects Christ to them. We can be pretty the outside with makeup and clothes and hairstyle, but the inside displays the level of our conversion. With His nature, we will be known for the beauty that comes from within. ~ DickEvans.org

Let Holy Spirit Lead

God's Standard

We should look beyond human rules all the time. God’s standard is what we need to live by. It is His character we want to emulate, not societies. We need to turn to the Holy Spirit for direction in all that we do. ~ DickEvans.org

Prayer

When I became born again; born of the Spirit, I began to understand that prayer was not saying a memorized bunch of words over and over again. No, it was about having a relationship with Him; about speaking to Him. It was about staying alert to His voice and being thankful to Him for all that happens each day. ~ DickEvans.org

Abides In Us

1 John‬ ‭4:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

I find it interesting when I hear the complex prayers people devise to get someone saved. And then they have a second event to have them receive the Holy Spirit.

1 John 4:4 (KJV)
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

1 John is pretty clear. Whoever confesses... God is in them.

Holy Spirit, the third person of the trinity lives in us the moment we confess our belief. There is no other step to take. There are no classes to attend or special prayers to recite. God abides in us. And God is the Father, the son, and the Holy Spirit.

And our spirit and Holy Spirit are one unique spirit. It is the same Holy Spirit in each believer but the combination is unique to each believer.

Our spirit does not have to be trained for the Holy Spirit knows all things and was sent to teach us and to work through us to touch others.

Galatians 5:16
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh

Our soul and our carnal mind needs the teaching. As we trust our unique spirit to lead us more and more we stop depending on the carnal mind to have all the answers. We let our spirit take the lead.

Believe it!

Do Our Part

Our task is to reach the lost and present the Gospel message to them. We are waiting for the Lord and He is waiting for us. Let’s do our part today. ~ DickEvans.org

Allow Him

Born again believers have been given authority and power. Jesus said we would do even greater things than He had done. That does not come from knowing how to speak so that others follow. The power comes as we step out and obey the Holy Spirit; allowing Him to work through us. ~ DickEvans.org

One Truth

There is only one truth and Holy Spirit leads us right to it. Jesus tells us “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” If the words we hear are not lining up with His words, with the Word of God, then we must close our ears and move on. ~ DickEvans.org

God Is With Us

God is with us. We are never alone. He tells us that many in the city are His; many are ready to receive the message we have to give. All it takes is for us to open our mouths and they will follow. ~ DickEvans.org

Turn Over Control

We need to turn control over to the Holy Spirit. It is up to us to allow Him to work in our day to day lives. The more often we do that, the quicker our character changes can take place; the quicker others will see the mind of Christ evident in our lives. ~ DickEvans.org

Test Yourself

2 Corinthians 13:5 NKJV
Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.

The test is about us knowing that we know that we are in Christ and he is in us.

The disqualified are the ones who have not accepted Jesus. They do not have Holy Spirit in them.

The question is not about what we are doing in the natural. It is about if we are walking in the flesh or in the spirit.

Open Hearts

Treasures

The key to all the treasures is the Holy Spirit and all we need to do is listen. As our relationship with Him matures, He unfolds more and more wisdom and knowledge to us. We must not be anxious for it will come in His time. ~ DickEvans.org

Let Him Drive

Holy Spirit lives in each believer. If we maintain our old level of control by staying in the driver’s seat, we are liable to fall short but if we let Him do the driving, we cannot sin because He does not sin. Isn’t it time to put Him in charge? ~ DickEvans.org

Not Under Law

We must not let any "new" law -- made by man, perhaps even a well-meaning Christian in leadership or rules made by the church -- get in the way of who we are in Christ. We are NOT under the law unless we let ourselves become under law! ~ DickEvans.org

Make Disciples

Jesus told us to go and preach the gospel, to make disciples. He was speaking to you and me, to ordinary men and women. And because of the relationship we have with Him, others will recognize us as men and women that have been with Jesus. ~ DickEvans.org

Not The Same

We Are Not All The Same. God created us unique. No two are made the same. No two have the same DNA. Even twins are different in some way.

We each have different fingerprints and different ears. Never mind our likes and dislikes or our natural skills.

If we go to something as simple as a yard sale, we head to a different arrangement of stuff.

Even what we eat. Go to a banquet and some are drawn to the appetizers, some to the main course, some to the deserts, and others hang around the beverages.

We are all created in the image and likeness of God and are all different in our appearances and in our likes.

1 Corinthians‬ ‭12:7-11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

Our gifts vary. Some are called... but Holy Spirit can use us at any time in any gift for His purpose.

As born again believers, we all have the same spirit of Christ. Jesus had the Father send the comforter to us when we first believed.

At that instant in time, we were born again and our unique spirit and the Holy Spirit became blended into a unique spirit with all of Him and all of who God made us to be, never to be separated.

It is like adding cream to your coffee. Or like baking an apple pie with apples, sugar, and a pie crust. Before baking, they are still separate parts. Once baked they become one, an apple pie. Once done you can’t separate the parts.

Each born again believer has all of Jesus and is unique in who they are. The two are one.

The power and authority are the same in each of us. We have all of Jesus and as Holy Spirit manifests through us the result is unique and the results miraculous.

Believe it and receive it.

Relationships

We must develop relationships with other believers that last and are deep enough for us to truly meet together; to allow others to not only encourage but to admonish. Don't Worry

Jesus says not to worry about tomorrow. He is not telling us to not think about the future. He is not saying that the future will just unfold itself like the pages of a book. Comfortable

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

Are we comfortable with where we are? We tend to keep doing what we have always done because it is comfortable. But all that we have learned in the past might be leading us astray.

We have relied on past teaching to guide us into our walk with God. We learned all the do's and don't's and work at following them religiously.

Our walk has become religious instead of relational. God doesn't want us to just do what someone else said he wants. He wants us to listen to the Holy Spirit he sent to live in us. Our spirit and his are one.

He who lives in us is greater than he who is the world. We are in Christ and he is in us. He will never leave us or forsake us. The kingdom of God is within us. We are eternal. And the Holy Spirit teaches us all things.

It is time to give thanks for all we learned in the past that brought us to this moment in God. But it is time to let go of a lot of that old programming and build a fuller relationship with him.

We need to stop being comfortable in our knowledge of old. It is time to reach out with open minds and hearts.

It is no longer about rules and traditions. It is about listening to the Holy Spirit and allowing Him to lead us daily into all truth.

Believe it!

Counted Righteous

Gifts

God gives out spiritual gifts; we all get them. They are written on our hearts and revealed by Holy Spirit. Understanding

The Prodigal Son

Luke 15:11-32
But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him; this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.

His father received him with no mention of what the son had done. His reception was an expression of the unqualified love the father had. Without mentioning the details, the son was totally forgiven and celebrated.

He was lost and now is found. We were lost, too. We where lost living an empty life. Sure we may have been successful in the world system but empty at the same time. We were always searching for something to fill a void without knowing what that void was.

New cars, faraway vacations, exciting movies, nightlife... nothing would bring us happiness and peace except for a short time.

We looked back over our life and regretted some of our past and planned daily for tomorrow even at the expense of living abundantly today.

Then someone introduced us to Jesus. We had heard about Him but did not know we could actually get to know Him.

It was like that prodigal son. We had drifted far from our Father God who knew us before we were born. He even knows the number of hairs on our head.

As we reached out and believed about Jesus, He wrapped His arms around us and sent the Holy Spirit to live in us. We were saved. We were born again

Thank you, Father, for sending Jesus to show us the way. To bring His light into our darkness. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ name, we pray.

Grace

Work Out

When we became a believer, we became born again. That was the starting point for a life of changes. As we listen for Holy Spirit, Christ within us, and obey His commands, we grow into more and more of His divine nature. As Paul told us, we work out our salvation with fear and trembling. That was “work out” and not “wait for”. ~ DickEvans.org

Others Watch

I don’t know about you, but I must be aware of my walk daily. It is so easy to cross the line in our dealings with others and in our dealings with the law, even the speed limit law. We must be careful for others are watching. What we do as Christians can affect their salvation. ~ DickEvans.org

Preach It

Romans 10:13-14
For "Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? (NLT)

We have all been commissioned to preach the gospel message. When we do others can hear the message and those that believe can truly receive. ~ DickEvans.org

It Is Finished

Matthew 6:7 NKJV
And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

I don’t know about you but when hearing a beautiful prayer I seem to get a little intimidated.

But that’s not how I pray.

It’s not about the length of the prayer but the power and the authority behind the words.

After all didn’t Jesus say lay hands on the sick and they will be healed. He didn’t say lay hands on the sick spend 5 to 10 minutes praying over them asking God to do all the things that were accomplished at the cross already and then they will get healed.

Jesus didn’t have long flowing prayers. He said simply be healed and sin no more. Just believe. He laid his hands on blind eyes and when he took them off they could see. He stuck his fingers in deaf ears and when He pulled them out they could hear. No long flowing prayers begging the father.

Jesus also commented about how the Pharisees had these long beautiful prayers.  Jesus said that their prayers glorify themselves and not the father. They were begging prayers and begging is what you did under the old covenant.

Now we’re under the new covenant. Jesus said at the cross it is finished. It’s all finished. No more begging God the father. All has been accomplished.

And yet here we are today enamored by those long prayers that other people pray.

The enemy tries to have us wish we could pray like them.

All we have to do is reach our hand out and take a hold of someone else and the healing power of Jesus enters them. They are healed instantly because as Jesus said it is finished.

The words we say will come from deep within us. They will be the words of Holy Spirit as we practice His presence in us.

Believe it and receive it.

To Die Is Gain

 Philippians 1:21 NIV
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

What if this is not speaking to physical death? What if It is speaking to being born again?

Consider our new life with Jesus because we have the spirit of Christ in us. Our spirit is one with the Holy Spirit who is in us.

Our old man is dead. In this earthly realm, the body is still here. It looks like we are still alive. Yet God’s word tells us we are alive in the spirit and dead to the old life. The Apostle Paul calls us aliens in this world.

On this earth, we are a dead man walking. We are alive in Christ.

 1 John 4:4 KJV
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world

Jesus gave every believer the authority and power to perform miracles in His name. And when others see His manifested power they feel that same rush, that same excitement. And they too can believe. They can become part of His mighty army, warriors for eternity. ~ DickEvans.org

Sin Is Sin

James‬ ‭4:17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

When we think of sin we think of the obvious. We think of murder, stealing, adulterous behavior, sexual sins...

Yet we have heard most of our lives that it is ok to tell a white lie. It is ok to circumvent the law of the land if nobody knows about it. It is ok to not report some of our income because it was under the table.

We make up our own rules to justify our behavior. After all, things have changed over the last two thousand years. Our culture has changed and what was a sin twenty years ago is acceptable now, we say.

We pass a person in need and pay them no attention and think it is ok. An opportunity was right in from of us and we turned away. That is a sin just as much as murder.

Sin is a sin. Some religions believe there are levels of sin but there are not.

When Holy Spirit sets forth a plan and we fail to follow Him we are in sin. When we tell that little white lie, we are in sin. When we listen to the wrong voices, we are in sin.

Sin is all around us. Because we are born again the spirit of Christ is in us. And we are in Him. We sin but we are not sinners. We are forgiven of all our sins, forever.

The Father does not see our sins. He only sees us through the eyes of His son, Jesus. This does not mean we should not avoid sin. It means when we mess up His mercy covers us. His grace does not leave.

Thank you, Father, for your mercy and grace. Thank you for my new life in Christ. Thank you for loving me. In Jesus’ name, we pray.
‭‭

Need His Presence

His character

The question is never about if we mess up, it is about what we do when we recognize that we have. We must be ever mindful of our conduct to be sure it is the conduct that Christ expects of us. We want to be known as one who has His character. ~ DickEvans.org

Who Are You

John 6:29 NLT
Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”

Are you walking in the spirit or do you see yourself as a worldly person even though you are born again?

We walk in this world and live with the temptations of life here. We see the suffering all around us and perhaps even in our own mortal bodies.

We believe God can heal us but don’t see results. Often we think we have come short of His expectations. Is there something we need to do to receive our miracle?

Jesus told us there was no work for us to do but to believe in Him. Yet we believe He can but wonder if He will.

We went to the cross with Jesus and He took away the penalty for our sins and took away all sickness and infirmity. He did all this because of His love for us.

Our father who art in heaven as it is on earth...

There is no sickness in heaven. That we all agree on. There is no sickness in Jesus and His Spirit lives in us.

How can there be sickness us? Only if that is what we believe. What we believe determines what we receive.

We either believe we have to fix everything, even these earthly bodies or we believe we are in Jesus and He is in us. And Jesus is not sick so how can we be sick?

May we walk moment by moment in who we are in Christ and let Holy Spirit handle the day to day stuff and the future plans. After all, He has already seen our future.

Who are we? Are we the person in the mirror or are we the resurrected new person in Christ?

Walk out who you are in Him.

Believe it and receive it.

Promote Right Living

We must remember that we cannot teach what we have not experienced. What we promote must be reflected in how we live, in the walk we walk, in who we are. ~ DickEvans.org

Share

We need to share our Jesus experiences with everyone. Our enthusiasm for our relationship with Him will help others to believe. He saved us and He will save them too but they have to believe in Him. And if they are to hear about Him, we have to open our mouth and tell the story. ~ DickEvans.org

A Reminder

Our goal should be to have the character of Christ. That should be our daily goal while we are here walking this earthly walk. But too often we are so focused on what we need or want in this life that we fail to focus on Him. Let's put a reminder on the refrigerator today. ~ DickEvans.org

Be Honest

We must be honest and pay what taxes are due. We must take the deductions due to us and not bend to the temptation to add a little here or take away a little there. And we must give the tax collectors the respect and honor due to them for they are doing God’s work. ~ DickEvans.org

Books, Tapes, and Involvement

Proverbs 13:20
Become wise by walking with the wise; hang out with fools and watch your life fall to pieces.

2 Corinthians 6:14-16
Stop becoming unevenly yoked with unbelievers. What partnership can righteousness have with lawlessness? What fellowship can light have with darkness?

We're all listening to someone. Everywhere we turn our ears are tuned to something.

As a matter of fact, all of us spend most of the day listening. We have no idea what being quiet means. We listen to tunes or talk shows in our vehicles. We have the news on most of the day. Or at night time we watch binge-watch shows on Netflix

Even when we attend a church service it is all about listening to what is happening; the worship music, the announcements, the sermon, and the chitchat with those hanging around after service.

Most of us have no idea how to handle quiet. We look for things to come in through our ears to occupy us. And yet our Father God is not only looking for us to worship him and be thankful in all circumstances. He wants us to hear His voice.

Holy Spirit is trying to talk to us and yet we are listening elsewhere. It is all about me. It is all about doing things that satisfy me. It is all about what makes me happy in this earthly realm.

True happiness is not possible until we walk in the spirit, truly in tune with Holy Spirit within.

The enemy very much loves to drag us back into who we used to be. But that person is dead. We are alive in Christ. Our spirit, the second we believed, went to heaven and was born again. We are no longer that old person. We are in Christ and He is in us.

Our true life is in Jesus. We need to reprogram our old mind to listen to the Holy Spirit instead of the unholy news and things around us in the natural.

It is when we truly know who we are in Christ and walk out in that knowledge, sharing it with the world, that we grow in our relationship with Him.

We are all listening, but who are we listening to?

"Father God thank you for sending Jesus to die for me so that I could have everlasting life. Show me the way to keep my ears on You and not on the things of the world. In Jesus' name. Amen."

Choices

Even though we are no longer sinners because of Jesus’ sacrifice for us, we often find ourselves in sin. That old man is still dealing with the dark side within. All the light we have been exposed to has shown us the right path. But we seem to be on autopilot; we just make wrong choices out of habit. It is time to think first. It is time to make choices before acting out of habit. ~ DickEvans.org

Obey It

Live The Truth

As believers we are each striving to be more Christ-like, to change. But just because we allow ourselves to appear changed does not mean that we have. The Apostle Paul not only spoke the truth, but he also lived the truth. He tells us to do the same. We need to allow Holy Spirit to guide us and change us.

At that instant, we were born again and our unique spirit and the Holy Spirit became blended into a unique spirit with all of Him and all of who God made us to be, never to be separated.

Be Encouragers

Get The Log Out

Matthew 7:5
You hypocrite! First, remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye.

When you walk into a church and immediately start to judge the type of people that are there it is time to look in the mirror. Get the log out of your own eye. Who are we to judge anyone? It is time to start looking at who we are in Christ. Or maybe even if we are in Christ.

When I was growing up the Holy Spirit was hardly ever mentioned. Sure we heard references to Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. But never a mention of the comforter or being born again.

We went to church faithfully and tried to be a good person following all the rules. We even had “Sunday go to meeting” clothes. We tried to keep Sunday holy and to be “good” for the rest of the week.

Some of my friends went to churches that had lots of rules and traditions. They had to go to “confession” and memorize prayers to dead people m. They were religious and I did not understand.

What a difference it is to be born again and have Holy Spirit living in me. I am in Christ and He is in me. I have a relationship with He who created everything!

And yet I still find myself looking at others and judging them or what they do as though I was the better than them. I am not.

Father God sees me through the eyes of Jesus. He sees me righteous and does not see my sin. He does not see me judging. But when I do the enemy sees me and makes it a point to agree with me. My mind goes the way of the world and I want to tell those I am judging all that is wrong with them.

The more we lean to the enemy and to our own understanding the further we are from God. In His grace, we only have to turn away from the wiles of the enemy and turn to Him. He promised He would never leave us or forsake us. He is always there ready to take our hand and lead us to the promised land.

God's Army

God wants us to enlist in His army, but not as a weekend warrior. He wants us full time. For if we are not full time, ready and able to march forth at His command, we cannot fully serve Him. He wants all of us, all of the time. ~ DickEvans.org

Earthly Pleasure

Flourish

Psalms 92:13
Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

God uses us where we are planted. He knows where we work and where we play. He will use us to reach the lost and shine the light of Jesus.

We find Jesus and want to make changes in our life. He helps us become the person He made us to be in the beginning. He helps to smooth the rough edges we have accumulated living in this earthly realm.

Are the changes we are making because Holy Spirit is helping us change or are they rules our Christian friends have imposed on us.

There is nothing wrong with trying to make our way straight doing what we know to be the right way to live. The Holy Spirit will help us as we ask for His help. Let Him guide you and not be led by the good intentions of others and you will flourish in the courts of the Lord.

Believe it and receive it!

Don't Worry

There was a song from 1988 called with Don't worry, Be happy. To stop worrying takes more than a positive attitude. Sure, we can pump so much good in that we bury the worry. But it is still there working in the background and it shows in our behavior. When we give our worry to God and let go of it, it no longer has to run in the background overshadowing other things that we do. The key is to give it away to God, let go of it, and then thank Him for all that He has done. ~ DickEvans.org

God Loves You

‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:15-16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

We have friends. I love my friends but not like I love my wife. Or like I love my children and grands and great grands.

Ever had someone you loved turn away from you, disappoint you, even try to harm you?

Facebook has redefined the word friend. A friend is anyone who likes our page and follows us. They are those we may not even know outside of Facebook but they are very much into our daily lives. This is certainly a new definition of the word friend.

‭‭John‬ ‭15:14-15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.

As believers, we are a friend of God. And He loves us with unfailing love. We don’t have to do anything to receive His love. It is unconditional. This is simply mind-blowing to me.

Every form of love you and I will experience in this world is failing love—it breaks and it bruises, it hurts, it disappoints and ultimately it dies.

But God’s love never ever fails. Not ever. Not even physical death can stop his love.

He said he will never leave us or forsake us.

He also says he sees our sins no more. They are as far away as the east is from the west.

Why do I believe in the resurrection? Because God says he loves us with an everlasting love.

Everlasting means everlasting. It means forever and ever.

Either God has to raise you from the dead and keep on loving you or else he is a liar.

God is not a liar. His love for you will never wear out or die.

Cancer can’t keep you from his love. Neither can depression, AIDs, alcoholism, or drugs. The devil and all his demons cannot separate you from his love. Neither can death nor life.

The only thing that can come between you and his love is your refusal to receive it.

The only thing that can separate you from the love of God is you.

Let’s pray

Father God, thank you for loving me even after all the wrong I have thought. All the wrong I have done.

Help me to let go of my past and follow you, Lord. Help me to be an example for others to follow as I follow Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to guide me.

In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
